Sidenote: if you try to select a channel Plex can’t detect data for, it rescans everything, then unchecks it. It seems like as a stopgap measure it should let you add these channels to your channel list, but display an “Unknown programming” message or something. That way you can at least browse them when using Plex to watch TV.

- U&DaveJaVu moved from channel 57 to channel 74, and was replaced by U&Eden. But guide still only offers U&DaveJaVu for the channel

What the actual problem : Chaanel KJYY 29.8, MeTV Toons is missing from the line-up, and thus I can’t enable that channel.

I’ve posted repeatedly since June. Plex version doesn’t matter, it never makes any difference. The server has even been reformatted with a different file system and the newest Plex clean installed, and of no surprise to anyone, the missing channels continue to be missing.

@cecoates I have reported it just in case these are not low power, but our EPG provider does not provide data Low Power local channels.

@Support Hi, it’s been almost 2 months with no update, bumping for attention.
There is a new OTA channel in the New Orleans area (USA - 70130.) The channel is 7.1 and is called GCSEN or The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network. The network shows up under tuner channels but does not have a corresponding EPG channel so I cannot add it to Plex. I am running version 1.41.1.9057-70009057

@HelloMiakoda Unfortunately i have been told by Gracenote that KJYY-LD8 is not in there database and because it is a low power channel they will not be adding it.
As far as I know there is a plan for to improve all of this next year.

Would it be possible to let us add these to the channel list manually and just not display program data? That way we could even manually schedule recordings.
@cecoates there is no current way to do that. II have been told improving the Live TV/DVR experience in on the radar this coming year, but I don’t have any details to share. I am trying to push for manual tuning/recording but I don’t want to make any false promises about how it may be implemented or when.

@cecoates Something I’ve done in the past is assign the guide data from unused channels (think something like QVC or HSN) just to be able to add the channel with missing guide data. Obviously the guide data will not be accurate, but it would at least allow you to tune the channel.
I actually don’t have accurate guide data for my local MeTV Toons channel (though my situation is a bit different, it’s just inaccurate in my case).
Mine is channel 28.2. WWYA, MeTV Toons in the 29607 ZIP code (Greenville, SC) if you’d like to check on it @BigWheel . The lineup is Local Broadcast Listings (86 Channels).
I didn’t even think of that (assigning it the “wrong” channel), I’ll give it a try.
