Have you checked out the drop down menu or even more important with channel 9
Thanks @SE56, went back via web UI instead of App and the full channel list showed up and yes it picked up the wrong channel.
I’ve included a list from HDHomeRun to match the channels for Melbourne/Australia the names are not very descriptive in Plex DVR. Would be a lot easier if the descriptions actually represented the channel name i.e. 010 - TEN HD - Melbourne - Australia.

I agree, you have a workaround, thats a positive. Time will tell if Gracenote sort it out to comply to locality. I had a few issues myself and needed to use a nearby postcode for it to work correctly, in my case a more populated postcode from the same transmission tower location.
Are you also missing icons for:
039 SBS Chill
095 9GemHD
203 ABC Country
204 ABC News Radio
If so, is there any way to add them ourselves?
There are icons but only generic, like 9GHBANZ.
That were SBS on Demand, 9Now, 7 Plus, ABC iView shine for most of my needs.
It seems the NEW
flag is also missing on some Australian guide data. So far I’ve noticed it with Channel 7 News, broadcast daily at 18:00 (Channel 070 7HMANZ).
I set up Plex on my Qnap a number of years ago and migrated to a new QNAP since then. For a long time it was great did just what I wanted and replaced my Humax boxes. Then the EPG change. My wife assumed that all the screwed and missing recordings were my errors! I eventually got sick of the Plex support promises and switched to Channels but still with Plex as my media distributor. Then I thought Plex may be have settled so tried to switch back with the usual missing or cropped recordings, not forgetting the errors in the program description and poster data.
So I completely reverted to Channels both EPG, recording and media playback. I still have Plex rumbling in the background for all my historic stuff. This latest EPG revelation has me in fits of laughter, here we go again, more unfulfilled promises on the key substantive reason for Plex existing on my server, Recording. I will not redirect my 2 HD Quatros for at least a year in the hope that someone at Plex wakes up and smells the coffee by then. Good luck to all you brave gladiators fighting on my behalf, I am sorry I gave up fighting.
The EPG over the last 18 months has been disaster, no doubt.
However the new-new one is the same one as the old-old one from over 18 months (basically, they reverted).
My understanding is that any issue beyond how it was with the old-old one is due to the fact the Plex software had moved on so they couldn’t just “plug it back in” so to speak.
You may well be right, however I do get tired of the constant fixing. They have spent a pile of time developing extra streaming channels when the basic product has been flawed and limping along for some time. This may well be a return to sanity however I will await a Doctors Certificate!
I am not arguing with you! I moved to SchedulesDirect (as an XML feed into Plex) for the last year.
However, this reversion to the old-old isn’t that bad for me. There are errors though, and unfortunately it feels a bit like the support has all but disappeared.
I’m in the UK. I got an email today, telling me to migrate. I did so. The guide seems to be showing the wrong programme times on the PBS channel for UK (Freeview 091), but the right times for PBS+1 (Freeview 093).
Perhaps this is the wrong place to post? I have submitted a form linked at Reporting Plex DVR Lineup Inaccuracies & Current Status but I would be grateful for confirmation that this is still the right place to go.
Yes, report officially at that link
*** and then copy the problem here - that’s what @sa2000 always asked us to do
[edit] - to clarify, “here” meant the UK super-thread on the TiVO EPG issues but I think this thread is just as good for the Gracenote issues.
[edit] *** Use @SE56’s link
I believe this is the correct link from Dec 2020 as my good friend JCHH confirmed
I have the same question. Is there a way to tell which DVR you are on.? I just setup my new NVIDIA shield yesterday 1/8/21 and so I think its using the new one but how can I be sure?
Yes, it’s written several times in this thread, but it getting harder to find as it grows.
Here is a link to one of the posts…
Also look for “Gracenote” written at the bottom of the Guide - see this post…
Can’t say this is any improvement, UK guide data is still bad with entire programs missing and replaced with “Unknown Program”. This only happens on the HD versions of channels, for example the Guide data is correct for the SD version of BBC2, but messed up for the HD version.
I’m sure I just saw this on another thread. Do you mind restarting your server and or computer?
