Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for

I am able to replicate the issue and a work around fix. On the morning of February 11, the episodes for the week of February 15 and February 22 still had the incorrect length. A restart of the Plex Media Server service on the morning of February 11 fixed the episode length for the episodes on the week of February 15, but not the week of February 22. This is after already having to restart the service on the morning of February 8 to fix the episode length for the episodes on the week of February 8.

At this time, I will need to restart the Plex Media Server service on a weekly basis in order to get the EPG to correct itself.

Exact same situation here; after seeing @dugiehowsa’s post this morning, I checked the DVR Schedule on my Plex server (Verizon FIOS Nyack via HDHomeRun Prime). Episode lengths for next week were 30 minutes.

I refreshed the guide; the episode lengths did not change.

I restarted the server; the episode lengths were updated to the proper lengths. I have the same situation: 45-minute episodes next week, 30-minute episodes the week after.

I didn’t get it working. I’ve gone back to the free Darwin XML guide data, it works well:

Thanks for that. I’ll give that a go once my IceTV trial ends. I hope the Plex Devs are working on it - silly NT postcodes…

Has anyone from Plex got an update on when the split movies issue will be fixed? 21 months now.

Yeah, it a bit odd maybe @cire12 can sort it out for you

We are many in Denmark who have issues with plex Live TV & DVR. See this thread: DENMARK: Lots of missing channels - Live TV & DVR - Plex Forum

Looking at the latest server update, it appears they are busy fixing issues with the gaming feature!!

I’m not going to lie, I am getting very frustrated that this is still ongoing and not receiving any update.

Given the number of fixes, looks like that was a roaring success too.

Plex Version 1.21.3.4046

Plex dont find since 2 days No EPG Data for German Channels.
Postalcode 04720, it find only EPG Data for (3Sat HD)

New channel has launched on Freeview UK that isn’t in the metadata yet.

Court TV - Channel 89

Not sure this one from the start of the month happened either.

Is anyone from Plex reading this thread anymore?

I PM’d Elan about the lack of support on this thread. You might like to try that as well.

Did you get a response?

I got an immediate response from Elan 2 weeks ago (13 days to be precise).

I got a follow-up from someone else informing me that they were working on things so I re-explained that this is about being on the thread and acknowledging the problems, sharing updates etc (as well as working on them).

I followed up 7 days ago and the response from the 2nd guy was that they have nothing much to say. I re-iterated my point but no response.

I followed-up again yesterday.

Thank you

I dont’ belive it!!!
Many Plex Pass users complain about the changes, but I’ve got the feeling the Plex support don’t intrerest abaut!
I’ve send the issue two times but never recive an answer.

Let’s face it, Plex is just one buggy POS that is never going to be fixed.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the tales on these forums tell the whole story…

Thanks for this report, FiOS NYC here, was considering moving away from EPG123 as the pictures it uses for episodes are nearly always too wide, but having to reboot after each guide refresh…is not great. Can you comment on the quality of the metadata though? That might be helpful.
