I am able to replicate the issue and a work around fix. On the morning of February 11, the episodes for the week of February 15 and February 22 still had the incorrect length. A restart of the Plex Media Server service on the morning of February 11 fixed the episode length for the episodes on the week of February 15, but not the week of February 22. This is after already having to restart the service on the morning of February 8 to fix the episode length for the episodes on the week of February 8.
At this time, I will need to restart the Plex Media Server service on a weekly basis in order to get the EPG to correct itself.
Exact same situation here; after seeing @dugiehowsa’s post this morning, I checked the DVR Schedule on my Plex server (Verizon FIOS Nyack via HDHomeRun Prime). Episode lengths for next week were 30 minutes.
I refreshed the guide; the episode lengths did not change.
I restarted the server; the episode lengths were updated to the proper lengths. I have the same situation: 45-minute episodes next week, 30-minute episodes the week after.
I got an immediate response from Elan 2 weeks ago (13 days to be precise).
I got a follow-up from someone else informing me that they were working on things so I re-explained that this is about being on the thread and acknowledging the problems, sharing updates etc (as well as working on them).
I followed up 7 days ago and the response from the 2nd guy was that they have nothing much to say. I re-iterated my point but no response.
I dont’ belive it!!!
Many Plex Pass users complain about the changes, but I’ve got the feeling the Plex support don’t intrerest abaut!
I’ve send the issue two times but never recive an answer.
Thanks for this report, FiOS NYC here, was considering moving away from EPG123 as the pictures it uses for episodes are nearly always too wide, but having to reboot after each guide refresh…is not great. Can you comment on the quality of the metadata though? That might be helpful.
