Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for

Have just deleted and rebuilt my DVR. There appears to be a bug that does not allow you to proceed if there are duplicate channel mappings (evening after correcting them). Also, there is no mapping available for LCN7 when using the local freeview lineup in my location. Interested to see if everything else has improved though!

I think you are supposed to use the default selected EPG called something like “local listing*”.

“Local Broadcast Listings”

Yes, I had the same problem…the descriptions are a problem, definitely not user friendly :-(…what I did was to look at the SD channels versions of the same channel to “copy” the description for the related HD channel I’m using/check…not bullet proof but it worked…

So far the move back to gracenote has not been an upgrade. There were plenty of issues before but gracenote just has different issues. Hope they are worked out.

totally agree, here in my area is even worst then before

Can you expand on the broad statement, as I’m at opposite. Considering my area was considered difficult.

Where are you (country / region)?

I too am seeing it as much improved… yes there are still a few issues to resolve (e.g. the movie intervals here in the UK), but in the most part it is a lot better.

I am having the same issue in Ireland. Have tried various postal codes, full-length, shortened etc, but no luck.

Is there any workaround?

Thanks for reporting this and the logs. There appears to be an issue with Ireland. I am following it up with our development teams

Use capitals (no, not Dublin stupid) and whatever you do, don’t press enter when you’ve put in the post code - move away from the field and Continue should highlight. That’s what worked for me - or maybe it was the heavy amount of swearing I used.

I have tried ‘D02’, ‘D02 XXXX’, ‘D02XXXX’, but cannot get the continue button to highlight whatever I do…

Thanks, I have used ‘Local Broadcast Listings’ and it is still missing - will report separately here:

I also see that channel mappings are generally not working very well and a whole bunch of them need to be manually assigned.

Sorry, missed your reply earlier, thanks a lot!

That reminds me - I forgot to retune yesterday :frowning:

Unfortunately Gracenote are mapping ITV Be +1 (Channel 057), Horror (Channel 68) and Quest +1 (Channel 69) incorrectly but now there is a bunch of other changes from yesterday’s channel changes as well now!

Edit: I’ve just retuned and it looks like some of yesterday’s changes are already present

This freeview update for the 27th October appears to have got missed out
Changes to ITVBe+1, Horror Channel, Quest+1 & Quest Red+1 | Freeview

Freeview 27th October 2020 changes

There was also a change one of these channels yesterday - for channel 72 Channel Changes | Freeview - channel 72 was supposed to be freed in the 27th October 2020 change. So manual adjustment is needed to map the channels for the 27th October set and also the one that needs 72. The lineup will now have 2 x 72 channels which are actually different and can be mapped individually

The changes for freeview will need a re-scan of the channels to pick the frequency changes for the tuner

The problem with Ireland lineups has now been identified and is being fixed

It was raised during beta testing so I didn’t bother manually mapping them on my test server, but now that I re-created my DVR on my production server I have to ask… Is there an ETA for a fix?

I know you’re busy fixing a bunch of issues at the moment but it would be useful so I know, and I’m sure others that have manually mapped these channels would also like to know, when to undo our changes
