Did you also see my post about channel 085 - Hochanda being rebranded as Craft Store TV but the listing being deleted rather than renamed?
I also see my tuner that has picked up channel 236 - GB News. I think it is only a test signal at present as I don’t believe there is a confirmed launch date yet - not one that I could find anyway, but I just wanted to give you a heads up on this one
I reported it using the online form about a week ago and also in this thread here
but unfortunately there hasn’t been any response from Plex and still no fix either
Prior to S11E09 the New tags were present so I’m not sure why Plex/Gracenote have removed them - the last time I checked the Freeview guide, that was still showing the Thursday showings of Taskmaster as New.
This is also affecting Batwoman as well - but that hasn’t been correct for any of Series 2 on E4 even though it should.
@sa2000 - Could we have an update on this please as this is getting annoying now?
Thank you - It’s good to know it’s a Plex / Gracenote issue.
I understand problems happen - my main grumble is how long it takes to get things fixed, now that Plex is using Gracenote. At least with Tivo, fixes would appear pretty quickly once they had been reported.
Hi,
I have recurrent problems with EPG guide for channel M6HD (France).
I succeeded in recording the program “Mon gâteau est le meilleur de France” since 3 weeks (it occurs everey week day), BUT this week I can only record the today one !
It looks like the others (from tuesday to friday) are exactly the same, so Plex refuses to record them !
Why is there such a control on the data ???
I KNOW the program occurs every day, so Plex, trust me and record the program every day ?!!!
It is very very boring and I think to cancel my Plex pass if this is not solved soon.
I hope someone can help me
Regards
@titi38 Do you have your recording set to record “New Airings Only”, or “New and Repeat Airings”? If you are set for “New Airings Only” then check the listings that are not scheduled to be recorded, and see if they have the “New” tag. If you are set for new episodes only and they aren’t tagged new then Plex is doing what it should. If you think episodes aren’t correctly tagged as being “New” in the EPG (e.g. the first time a particular episode has aired), then you can report that as a problem with the EPG data.
Also check the season and episode numbers of the items not scheduled to be recorded. Make sure you don’t already have that episode in your library. Plex won’t rerecord episodes you already have. Similarly, if you think the EPG listing has an incorrect season/episode number then you can report that as well.
Yes the recording is set to “new and repeat airings” (it’s my default because the option “new airings only” never works).
I also tried to record each episode indivudually but Plex only wants to record the first day, it considers the other days like exactly the same as first day.
I don’t have any episode in my library because I look at them and delete them one hour after they are recorded.
I know this is a EPG data bug but the problem is I can’t do anything to bypass this error, so I’m completly unable to record my program !
If plex had a way to record manually a channel at a given schedule I would not have any problem !
Indeed. This has been mentioned so many times and must be far easier to code than many of the new features that keep getting added - I truly cannot understand why Plex won’t enable this sort of basic recording functionality given the ongoing issues with data quality for the EPG!
Finland lineups for Elisa are now visible and I can see some EPG schedule data for some channels, but for the channels you mentioned, they are only showing “Will be released soon”(Julkaistaan pian)
The Lineups for Elisa for your Post Code are
Elisa Kaapeli-TV (116 channels)
Elisa Viihde (Netgem N7700) (114 channels)
I have checked the schedules for the following channels on Elisa Kaapeli-TV lineup and there is no actual program data at the moment
Thank you so much for letting me know. Just updated my lineup for “Elisa Kaapeli-TV” and I can happily say that at least the channel order is now fixed.
I would also like to thank you for informing Gracenote that some of the channels are still showing “Will be released soon”. Hopefully they will get this issue fixed soon. If it’s not too much to ask I would appreciate if you could inform me when this issue is solved.
I’m looking forward to an updated Plex for Windows client as the F5 (Refresh) workaround doesn’t work there
Cool - I noticed a few minor visual issues with the new Channel Matching dialog but does anyone know if it is possible to edit an existing DVR setup or does one have to recreate it to gain support for multiple line-ups?
