Looks like this has been actioned since my refresh last night. Just in case anyone is confused when it automatically disappears from your guide, the channel will need remapping as the channel identifier on GraceNote’s side has changed.
I am a new and albeit older user. I am trying to set up Plex DVR for live TV. I have a Plex Plus account. When I begin the process I am at this screen -
I should have added, when I click on "Don’t use XMLTV? Click here to selct your location instead. I go to the next screen and put in a zip code. It doesn’t matter what zip code I put in I get the same result -
I’m still having the issue with “Prefer HD” not working. My recording for today’s live W Series race on Channel 4 has gone for the SD version, even though the Series Schedule is set to “Prefer HD” and Channel 4HD is in the EPG and working fine. I had been working around this by restricting the channel, but Channel 4 showed W Series on More4 last week so restricting channel won’t work.
Did the EPG for the programme on 4HD state HD or was it marked as SD?
Whilst some content on 4HD is marked as SD I’m also seeing this recording preference issue with other channels too - I’ve had things from both BBC1 HD and BBC2 HD record from the respective SD channels instead even though I have Prefer HD set
I asked @sa2000 for some feedback on a number of outstanding issues above, including both of these, but have yet to receive a response - that was almost two weeks ago.
I don’t see any place on the EPG where the programme itself would show an HD Flag, where should I be looking? I can only see HD as a channel level flag, which C4HD has, or on recordings that have actually been set (F1 on C4HD for example saying SD Video, which it obviously isn’t).
Aha, thanks. Yeah, it’s as suspected, they’ve flagged it as SD Video even though it is clearly HD, same as they’ve done with the F1. This really needs to be chased up with GraceNote, it should be a fairly simple fix.
@captain_caveman2k I can see an issue with the gracenote data for channel 104 (channel 4 HD) where only a few have the HD marker. I have opened a case with gracenote - other HD channels have the issue as well but most airings have the correct HD indicator
I will also discuss with our ingestion team to see if we should assume all is HD for HD channels
Since this thread has some activity from employees, can we get someone to at least address the return of the “could not tune channel no parts” error for duplicate mapped channels on some cable systems that was fixed but has returned?
This is still outstanding on Gracenote. The ingestion goes on each airing’s SD / HD indication and at the moment the channel has over 70% of the airings missing the HD attribute
