Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for

I have one channel missing from my guide and have reported it on the page referenced in the original post. There has been no acknowledgement or fix. Is there another place to report guide errors?

I’m trying to set up DVR and cant get past post code either. Is there a thread I can follow to know when this has been fixed for Ireland? cheers

I had exact this issue with the post code part, but it seemed to sort itself out after a little while. Just keep trying is all I can say. Funnily enough I put a post on here and it was about an hour later it worked

I submitted the form for this, but in case others are recording the “new” MacGyver series, this Friday’s (18th) new episode is associated with the old series:

This is the Gracenote EPG. OTA Seattle market.

Edit: This has been fixed.

“The Good Place” repeats that are currently airing on 4 Music (Channel 030) on Freeview show the series data incorrectly for Series 3 with each episode being off by one.

I’ve submitted the form but as this caught me out this morning (so I am now missing an episode) I thought I would raise it in the forums for others as it also effects the airings next Saturday (19th December):

Plex shows E8 to E12:

Freeview shows E9 to E13. For example E9 at 00:00:

The Good Place - Freeview sequencing

I believe this happens as some websites list the episode numbers incorrectly for series 2 and 3 as the first two episodes aired in the US as one long episode.

Note: It doesn’t appear to affect the upcoming Series 4.

I just noticed that Plex is actually showing the right episode titles (but the wrong episode numbers)…

But The TVdb disagrees with Freeview over which episode has which title, so it now looks like that:

  • Plex is showing the wrong episode (but correct title for that wrong episode)
  • Freeview was showing the correct episode (but wrong title for that correct episode)

???

The TVDB

right, got it…

If you change TheTVDB to show the episodes in absolute order, the episode numbers match the chapter numbers in the opening titles, so it is then easy to check. You can see that:

  • Chapter 27 (the 27th episode) is s03e01 - Pt 1
  • Chapter 28 (the 28th episode) is s03e01 - Pt 2

…which also means that Plex must have recorded correctly for me (OX25) yesterday but perhaps not for the Saturday before (when the x2 S03E01s were aired).

  • Plex said: s03e02 - Retribution
  • our survey said: s02e02 - Retribution

…wrong season, right episode and title

I still find it odd that TheTVDB did this for Series 2 and 3. I appreciate the first two episodes aired as one long episode in the US but internationally things were quite different. As such Wikipedia lists the episodes correctly:

The Good Place - Wikipedia Series 2
The Good Place - Wikipedia Series 3

I have the first few episodes of series 3 from July when the season premiered in the UK on E4 - I’m not entirely sure what happened why series 3 stopped recording after episode S3 E3 “The Brainy Bunch” back then.

I noticed that ITV Be +1 (Channel 057) wasn’t showing in my guide about 15 minutes ago…

I’m not sure when this happened but it seems that Gracenote have now fixed the mappings for ITV Be +1 (Channel 057), Horror (Channel 068) and Quest +1 (Channel 069) on Freeview

If you’re a UK Freeview user like me and haven’t noticed you might need to map these channels again.

HELP
Just upgraded this morning to the latest PMS and LiveTV and DVR is missing for my side panel. Where did it go? It was there last night.

It is in 127…, but not in app.plex.tv

side panel

Thanks, Fred

I’ve had this happen once or twice over the years and a reboot after the update always resolved it. Any luck with that?

Thanks I have gone in and re-mapped them.

It’s still showing channels that are not HD in the ‘HD Channels Only’ filter! And still showing ‘Unknown Airings’ when enabled for some channels.

Yep - same here unfortunately :frowning:

I could be wrong but I don’t think there was any feedback from Plex on this.

That was the first thing I tried.
I’ll try it again and let you know.
Thanks

Either I didn’t do the reboot, or it took two.
It is back, thanks.
Fred

Is it just me? Or are trivial fixes taking much longer now? With the previous guide when I reported a single missing channel it was fixed within 2 days and they used to be acknowledged by @sa2000 within 1 day. I’ve been waiting more than a week now for a missing channel acknowledgement.
(To be fair, the new guide is better. I have noticed more accurate SxxExx values and NEW airing labels.)

It’s not just you.

I’ve been waiting nearly a month to get fixes to the EPG. Filled out forms to report missing channels, posted to the forums. No response. No update. Nothing from the Plex team.
