There is some outstanding work to be completed relating to capture of tags
Oh, I get that enforcing our rights might be difficult, but our rights definitely exist! Your wider point is well taken, though. I used my Amex card so I will contact them about their disputes resolution processes.
I can investigate issues like this, if i have the zip code, lineup used and channel and episode airing. You have already given me the last 2 items - i need the others info to get to the channel internal id number
Thanks for reporting this. An issue with overlapping blocks - Appears to be Plex Web that is impacted most by this. I have escalated it to our team. This issue is not believed to be a provider issue
Most of these I suspect are to do with the overlapping blocks that I mentioned in my post above. You may find that other plex clients do show some of the data.
I have passed this to our team to look into and resolve
It is an issue with handling of changes to previously provided generic programme information. I have referred it to our EPG team. There are duplicate airings and some client apps display the generic block instead of the actual - (the duplicate entries are not expected and should not be present)
Hi
Yes very strange all guide data visible on iPhone and iPad and Fire tv app but not on laptop/PC/Mac so as has been later mentioned a web UI issue
Yey more Plex EPG issues !!
Actually Fire TV is not working correct either. Current day OK all overlaps after midnight and unusable - This EPG since the change of providers is a complete and utter disaster
Now all the films I have attempted to set up a recording show length of either 0 mins or 60 mins
Zip code: 61108
Lineup: Comcast Rockford Digital (hopefully thatās the one youāre looking for)
Hi, I am in the Sydney area, Australia. Problem Iām having is that since Iāve been moved to XML using freEPG.tv feed starting July, my HD HomeRun Connect is still receiving 72 channels, freEPG.tv is supplying guide data for all those channels, but Plex is only presenting the Guide data for 17 Channels (All Channels- 17). Actually, it does seem that the channels presented are actually all or mainly HD channels, not SD. If I select to show HD Channels only, however, Plex then errors out with the message " Online Content
0
The Guide is empty
Please verify your channel mappings and refresh the Guide".
Can you advise me what I need to do to get Plex to display the full guide data for all 72 channels. How do I get Plex to recognise the HD channels from the freEPG.tv XML data.
BTW: In the DVR setup section; Plex is showing: HDHomeRun CONNECT
ā
192.168.0.131:80
2 tuners
72 channelsā 17 enabled.
How can I get all 72 channels enabled???
There was an issue with auto deletion of the DVR following failed migration - eg for australia - i need to see debug logs captured a few minutes after launch of Plex Media Server to see if it is that. If it is, this will be corrected in 1.16.4 which is being released to beta soon
Thanks for the zip code and lineup. I can see two episodes in the data from the EPG - which appear to be wrong
Start at 02:00 am GMT 4th August with duration of 3 hours
Start at 05:00 am GMT 4th August with duration of 1 hour
You are at GMT - 5 so these would be mapping to 9pm-12:00 3rd August and midnight to 1am 4th August
I will report this to our provider
iPhone app (which I donāt really use, so hadnāt checked) looks normal. Roku app has all the same issues as Plex Web. Most channels saying āxxx programmingā.
They were indeed, I had one for a while. No problems with the guide. Quite some time ago though (~10 years)
Tivo box still seem to be used in Uk by virgin according to this article
https://www.choose.co.uk/guide/virgin-media-tivo-box-review.html##problems
And the Virgin Tivo EPG Forum
Iāve been waiting patiently for a month now with very few recordings succeeding due to the EPG issues since switchover of providers (like some data missing for some times, new shows not marked as new, no data for certain channels at all). I thought after a month or so that would be plenty of time to resolve any teething issues but looking today the guide data has actually got worse not better. Even the main channels have no programme data now (just channel name programming all day). I appreciate the explanation for this bug but really after a month of this nonsense it is just not good enough, why is it taking so ridiculously long to fix a fundamental part of the service so badly broken? Iāve been very patient up until now but pretty much lost faith in Plex developers at this point so going to look elsewhere at this point as Iā[m totally fed up with a completely non functional EPG with Plex.
Yes thatās correct, I am in the UK and have a Virgin Media Tivo.
I understand that Plex have recently moved to using Tivo as their EPG provider. Iāve almost never had an EPG issue recording with my Virgin Media Tivo so in theory thatās great news, as Gracenote had the odd error. But it seems there is a huge difference in quality between the Tivo data on my living room TV and the one bring received via Freeview/Freesat by my Plex PC. I donāt understand how the Tivo data can be so great for cable TV with mostly the same channels (just more of them) but so poor for Freeview/Freesat EPG data?
Plex Media Server 1.16.4.1469 has been released as beta and has the fix for the hang after failed auto deletion of the DVR during migration
Release Note: Plex Media Server
- Fix for deadlock when deleting DVR that could not be upgraded to Cloud EPG. (#10358)
With the fix, DVRs that fail to auto migrate can be manually recreated and setup
(Any one with an early beta or development build for this should now update to the official beta - thank you)
Thats great but what about the completely borked guide data missing.
Just says channel name and programming
Making the EPG unusable now for over a day - This update does not fix it
