@elan What is going on with the UK EPG, I can not see any programmes on BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV and Channel 5, exactly the same as the picture in the post above mine?
Why do you allow EPG updates from TiVo that completely break the EPG, surely you should be filtering this?
Please switch back to Gracenote and do a real beta test on TiVo’s guide, and make sure that users are happy in each of the countries with the quality of the EPG before switching again!
DVR features in Plex are currently completely unusable, this is really bad customer service and needs some sort of ETA of when its going to be working again.
Even if its going to take a while just be honest about it so we can sort out different ways to handle recordings in the meantime.
Posted same issues in another thread. Does anyone have an official response from Plex? I dont mind if I know they are working on it. More information is better than PLEX.
Updated to Version 1.16.4.1469. Nice to see some things are being fixed such as the deadlock when deleting DVR. But still getting unacceptable DVR Guide. BBC data only available for one show at midnight every day it seems.
Looks like there are a lot of people in here with the same issue. If further information such as logs and location details would help let us know.
Frustrating that the guide is OK when viewed from iPhone / iPad so data is there, just mixed in with ‘corrupt’ entries that Plex EPG team purged manually a few weeks ago when this problem first occurred. Why they can’t do that again or code around the problem in the server code is a mystery to me.
I have the same result when viewing Plex via an Amazon Fire TV stick…what appears to be a fully functioning schedule. It’s a shame I didn’t look at this sooner as it makes a pleasant change to what I’ve been seeing for over a month when viewing this on my PC!
Just seems to confirm that it is a Plex programme change which has caused the DVR Guide issues when viewed on a PC as it looks like the EPG data is there but not being presented correctly.
Can anyone confirm what time PMS refreshes the EPG data and if it’s configurable. I am continuing to have issues which superseded the new EPG in that it rarely refreshed automatically. I always had to go in and manually update the EPG. The server on which Plex runs goes into low power mode between 00:30 and 06:30 every night and I want to rule this out as a possible issue for the epg not refreshing.
The server is supposed to update the EPG as part of its regularly, scheduled maintenance tasks. However this is a bug that is known and being addressed. In the meantime, performing a manual refresh is necessary.
Depends on what you mean by low power mode. If you expect Plex to wake up your server from sleep and do the maintenance tasks then you will be disappointed.
Reschedule the maintenance task to when your server is awake, default AFAIK is 2AM - 5AM.
The issue where airings show as blocks of “xxxxx Programming” has now been fixed.
A full manual refresh of the guide is needed to correct the data
The automatic refresh only addresses the next 24-48 hours and increments the end of the guide data at Day+13 by 1 day. A manual full refresh is needed to pick up any corrections during the full guide period… The automatic “incremental refresh” happens every 4 hours
This area is being looked into and some adjustments are being made and will be reviewed again after these changes get released
Hi, my EPG is now populating the program information correctly thank you however i have another strange issue related to the new EPG.
Under the channel mappings Sky Cinema Hits is incorrectly listed as Sky Cinema Batman and the information it lists is also wrong.
