‘New’ tags are still missing for a lot of programs in the UK (BBC that I have noticed)
There is currently a problem with the “NEW” indicaror for all BBC airings. This is already being worked
@sa2000 another instance of a NEW tag issue would be on Channel 5 HD with soap operas - Home and Away / Neighbours for example.
Need airing times please and if issue on both channel 5 and channel 5 HD
But please only report it if it is showing after you complete a full guide refresh
I looked at sample for today and none of these old episodes have the New tag
I’ve used the form twice yesterday and today to report several issues with EPG for Com Hem in Sweden, and I saw somebody post about similar issues earlier in the thread. The tracking sheet shows nothing from those reports, how often does it get updated? I don’t want to spam the forums with more questions than necessary, but I’d like to make sure you’re actually looking in to them, or at least have them in your backlog.
@sa2000 ah sorry I didn’t include the airing times. Just done a manual refresh and no ‘NEW’ tags. This is the same for both SD Channel 5 (005) and HD Channel 5 (105) (south east area if this is of any use).
Home and Away air time 1:15 - 1:45 (this should be NEW)
and
Neighbours air time 1:45 - 2:15 (this should be NEW)
Thank you for looking into this
Just to add to these, to complicate things
H&A should be S32E109, Original aired date 04/07/2019 - This is the date it went out in Australia, so needed for TVDB match
Neighbours is showing an Air Date of 07/08/2019, it should be 08/08/2019, which is S35E158
Many thanks for the info. At least I know it a known bug and being worked on
Thanks Tebierius, No I dont expect Plex to wake my Server. I wanted to know if the updates were after midnight. How can you reschedule the maintenance task as I cannot find a setting
Using a browser go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop, click on the settings icon in the upper right corner (screwdriver X wrench) then Scheduled Tasks in the lower left. Adjust your “Time at which tasks start to run” and “Time at which tasks stop running”. Make sure “Perform refresh of program guide data” is checked.
This has been corrected by the provider. I will let you know when this update comes through into our live EPG data
These have been referred to our provider and the two series are being looked into
This is on the list of priority items to bring in. Sport Team tags and also genre and other tags
Already on the list and already flagged as priority item
I can confirm that a manual guide refresh on Friday August 9th at 6pm resulted in an apparently normal guide presentation in the Mac Client and the web client.
Thanks
Same with EastEnders, Coronation Street, and Emmerdale. All can be seen on BBC One HD and ITV HD on Monday 12th August, should be marked as New they aren’t.
Emmerdale - ITV HD - 7pm
Coronation Street - ITV HD - 7:30pm
EastEnders - BBC One HD - 8pm
I’ve reported it before but still the same.
Could go on for just Monday, The One Show is a new episode not marked as new. Panorama is a new episode not marked as new, Who Do You Think You Are is a new episode not marked as new.
Thank you! this is a big deal to many of us and glad to hear its priority.
With the old system if i told it to record the yankees game on Yes it would record every version of the yankees game on yes that day and store them as multiple versions. this was perfect as commonly games get rain delayed and then i would have other versions to watch which include the encore which is cut to fit the 3 hours and always includes the full game. Now I cant record those even if I try. the system refuses to record more than one yankees game on the same channel in the same day. even if its new it doesnt matter. i missed saturdays first g ame of the double header because of this.
can the multiple versions of the same game go back to the old way as well?
Further checks of the latest freshly updated EPG
Films that span a 5min news bulletin or mini break half way through still not fixed
Most only record the first part of the film - I normally use the upcoming movie feature to find and set the movie to record
The odd film seems to record the full length though
Emby has the films listed twice when looking at upcoming movies so easy to select both parts to record. Not perfect but better then only half recording that plex gives
Previous Gracenote recorded the whole film no issue
@sa2000
Sorry, this thread seems to be related.
I posted my channel lineup and program information to my own thread but never got any answer.
May I please ask you to let me know, if you are aware of the problems mentioned there?
I have a problem with the BBC Click programme. The same episode is broadcast about 5 times each week. Before the guide change Plex seemed to know that it was the same episode and after a successful recording, didn’t create additional recordings even if I used the setting ‘new and repeat episodes’. I need to re-check behaviour after the last update, but currently Plex seems to record all 5 episodes. Can I ask if we have lost something that identifies the episode? This is a national transmission, but I have UK postcode CB23 and lineup Cambridgeshire Freeview OTA. Broadcasts are at Thursday 03:30, Saturday 12:30 and 15:30, Sunday 04:30 and 12:30 all on BBC News Channel 107
Yes. It produces duplicate recordings although the only thing that seems different is the file name it chooses. All the metadata seems identical
