A manual refresh fixed the issue. The problem was with the 8th. I never needed to do a manual refresh before the new EPG provider switch. The current situation is not acceptable. The end user shouldn’t be required to manually do anything for constant care and feeding of the EPG for it to work.
Thanks sa2000. All resolved now.
Another EPG issue with sports. I’ve recorded 3 football games in the past week…1 NFL and two college. All had correct “team x vs. team y” EPG when I recorded them. All 3 of them show up as Full Color Football in Plex after the recording completes. Plex then “meshes” the games together making it look like only one recorded. It show up as two different versions of the same recording. (in the graphic I had already deleted one of the games so only two games are left…as you can see the screenshot of the show one of the recordings is Clemson vs. Texas A&M and not some history of football show). I never had this issue with the old EPG.
What’s more, the file names show the teams.
I’m seeing this as well. I have 4 college games from yesterday stacked on top of each other. This really needs to be fixed soon.
The time shift issue with 7.4 KSPS PBS Kids was fixed and the adjustment has already fed through to our EPG Data. Please do a full EPG refresh to correct the data
This is being looked into
I have reproduced the College Football ones. Could i have the path for the NFL one that you said also got mislabeled and what it got labeled as
How were these college football recordings labelled before our switchover to the new EPG?
Can you confirm that the broadcast of 150 is in Swedish (text/audio)
The pdf for com hem does not indicate - just double checking as it was said that some Swedish users said that com hem Cartoon Network channel was the English channel
The NFL game was the 5th of Sep. It was on NBC (local 11.1 for me). It was Bears vs. Packers.
I don’t know exactly what they were labeled with the previous EPG…something like “College football team x vs. team y”…it didn’t get changed after it finished recording.
what is the filename path showing in media info? (directories/file) and did that NFL Recording also show as Full Color Football: The History of the American Football league
?
The issue with “College Football” seems to be scanning / matching issue and is not specific to DVR Recordings because I reproduced the issue with “College Football” by just adding dummy files with the names as you had and then did a library scan
I don’t have the file name for the NFL game because I deleted it before I looked. Yes, it also was tagged as full color football after it recorded. When I selected it to record the EPG did NOT show it as full color football.
This feature is not new. See this post. The only way to get it to stop doing this is to turn off the enhanced guide.
Yes, the audio is in Swedish. My forum skills are bad, are you supposed to be able to quote the post you’re replying to in the mobile version? I couldn’t figure out how, anyway.
Noting post by @garyan2 - do you have DVR setting enabled for Enhanced Guide ? If you do, what happens with the recordings matching when it is disabled?
I do NOT have enhanced guide enabled and never have.
Probably related to EPG…many NFL games do not show up in “upcoming sports”. So you can’t see what’s on on clients without the full guide display. Notice the game at 9 am. The pre-game shows up in “upcoming” but the actual game does not.
I will see if i can reproduce this and investigate
What Plex client app was this on? I just tried it on Plex Web and they are there but further down the list because of the way they are sorted.
Screen 2
Screen 4
The two that are on screen 4 are broadcast in SD and we sort by HD first and Premiere airings second. Can you confirm that you do see them on the later screens (right “>” button to go to more)
I am raising the sort used for sports events on the Upcoming Sports view with our development team
I need to know if you are able to see the events after scrolling or if you are using a Plex client that may be is not showing all of the events
This is an issue across sports, also affecting MLB. Server version 1.16.5.1554
MLB/NFL games show in advance but sort incorrectly, record replays as new, or outright fail to record. MLB sorts as “baseball a film by ken burns.”
