I was originally looking at an Android phone client. To answer your question…after further investigation it does show up…if you scroll all the way to the right in the upcoming sports section, it doesn’t show at all…but if you tap on upcoming and get the full list…then it does show…if you go a long long way through the list where I would never expect to see it.
As a side note, this brings up another EPG issue…the channel 2.2 for me is an HD channel and is not recognized by plex EPG as HD.
Side note 2: it seems like a bad architecture decision to sort these by HD first then SD…i would never expect this sort of thing to be sorted any way but by time…if there is a tie…9 am vs. 9 am you could break the tie with HD I guess…lower channel number would be my recommendation though…at any rate, sorting by HD vs SD requires the HD and SD data to be correct to make it usefull…which from reading these forums is not a good assumption to make
specific examples please. channels / times / and what the errors are and what lineup name used (you can see this in server settings page for Live TV and DVR)
I have a myriad of issues on the latest plexpass version right now its almost unusable, please tell me what you need as far as files and logs for these issues with the tv/dvr system:
NFL is BROKEN. I manually record all the NFL games on sunday and i get ONE single show! I thought i didnt have them recorded but they are all considered “versions” of NFL 9-9-19 - its no longer like Lions vs Rams its 9-9-19 and they are all 9-9-19 and it BROKE NFL completely. same issue with most sports tbh.
Michael Kay show on YES on FIOS in NYC is showing as Michael Essany show with same issue with this date thing. actually all shows are broken with this date thing rather than the title of the show.
watch a show already recording from the start is straight up broken, it doesnt work at all even though it was specifically mentioned as fixed inu the version i am running. it always starts from current time and you cant rewind even though the bar is full to the start of the show.
still cant record all ny yankees games or all ny giants games, etc.
Listen SA2000, we appreciate you helping, but i get these e-mails from plex like today saying we added new web show player. listen i am not going to tell you how to run your busienss however, it seems to me cord cutting is the future, plex is currently THE destination for cord cutters w/ antennas and cablecard like me, however will it be long term with these issues? you are opening the door to get crushed by a competitotr who takes it serious.
if i was running plex i would repurpose every dev who can code on the dvr system to work on it and fix it, that is my opinion. plex is really risking their cable cutting dominance here imo. with new services like youtube tv, etc, you already are bleeding to them, with this mess i am considering dropping plex and switching to youtube tv personally, i imagine i am NOT alone…
On the odd occasion it does record, it sorts as “Baseball: A Film by Ken Burns” and fix match doesn’t work at all. It also populates the guide with that thumbnail:
The oddest part, to me, is if I check my DVR/Recording schedule via IOS, it shows the second recording at 2am-5am ET, the replay, but marks it as “new” and I end up with zero file at all to watch.
same issues here with MLB, exactly the same. same issue also where it thinks its some historical show about baseball instead of a game and even plays the silly background music.
Sports are completely broken on plex for me at this time.
I have looked into this and the first episode did not have the “New” indicator. Subsequent episodes do. I am discussing this with our EPG provider - there was an issue with “New” settings for BBC channels and a process was put in place at their end to get that set
Recurring again (now) with the replay:
the pirates (somehow) won the games hour ago, but plex has the replay marked as new and will likely force both files to delete/not load into library.
I just downloaded my logs and database @sa2000 , more than willing to provide if it assists the team. Thank you for the help.
I am looking into these. What would be the easiest way for me to identify which are replays and which are really new? Is there a link you can point me to ?
What do you mean by never watchable ? Is the recording file corrupt?
The files aren’t corrupt, last nights replay properly recorded, but over 50% of the time when it attempts to record the replay (not by my intentions, I only set for new), i can watch the file(s) record, but nothing will populate in my library and no “play” icon will appear on the recording line in the schedule.
In my forward looking dvr schedule none of the replays are on the calendar. Something occurs between the original airing and the replay to make the system think the replay is new after the original has already aired.
I need to home in on specifics. Was the replay (not new) the airing showing as Tomorrow 4pm to 7pm in you screenshot taken at 12:24 PM?
For channel 576 I am unable to find a 4pm-7pm EST MLB Baseball event for 12 September.

Correct. In my last screen shot the server is currently recording a replay that is marked as new at 9pm est, when it is the replay of the game that occurred at 3:45 (started recording at 3:30)EST.
As you can see on forward looking DVR schedule, none of the replays appear. Something occurs between the new game and replay to make the server think the replay is also new.
Manual guide refresh, typically, every second or third day.
I’m in the UK and have set a series record for New and Repeat Airings of Cricket on 5. Up to now I’ve been able to record everything. However, there is a new highlights programme on tonight at 19:00, but my Plex refuses to add it to the list of programs to record. There are new episodes every night until Monday at the same time, but apart from recording yesterday’s episode they too are not showing up in the DVR Schedule.
For some reason tonight’s episode shows up as Day 5 of the fifth test, but it’s actually Day 2. The other days also show as Day 5 so maybe that’s the problem.
I’ve done a manual refresh but still no sign of them. They show up in the Guide as New episodes, but Plex will not add them to the DVR Schedule.
What’s worst about it recording the (shortened) replay as well as the live airing, is if you had started the original airing but paused it for later…when you come back later and say resume at the same spot it resumes the replay instead and spoils the rest of the game by jumping way forward relative to game time.
