The all programs are SD thing happened with the last version too. Seems to be a problem with the EPG and not the program.
Is this supposed to fix the episode data as in describing the episode and not the program? Iâm refreshing the guide for a second time because it doesnât appear to have changed anything. Still getting a description of the program/series and not the episode in the guide.
Yes - this is being fixed
Thank you for the updates. Iâve set all my DVR schedules to HD Preferred for now until the issue is resolved. The E1 issue was obviously much more dire as it did not allow recording to continue on many series. (Arthur, for the record is not dire at my house ;))
I am still getting the E1 issue on certain programs. Mainly hollyoaks and emmerdale. This is UK OTA. Itâs stopping series recording. This worked before the new epg. Using version 1.16.1.1273. I have deleted and readded the dvr
@iced98lx The UK EPG is being redone as we speak, 5 regions, which should rectify the issue also, this should also stop any errornous channels from appearing like RTE and Borders in the OTA EPG alsoâŠ
Dave
The fix is for the episode number only. The issue with the description is still being worked on.
@anon18523487 The description issue is with the EPG Data isnât it that @cire12 is working on? Correct me if Iâm wrong please
Dave
Iâm not sure specifically whoâs involved but it is being worked on.
Can we get a list of whatâs being worked? Iâd also like an update on this and other long time issues.
The EPG seems to work fine on the roku (episode descriptions), but not ATv or iOS, which only have the show description (in the US).
On another note the latest PMS update broke the live TV and DVR on the latest version of the embedded PMP.
I donât know what market youâre looking at but in the DFW OTA market the episode information is NOT, repeat NOT fixed on the ROKU nor any other platform!
Iâm looking (ROKU Ultra) at 5 upcoming episodes of âMarried with Childrenâ on GetTV, all with the same generic description of the series, not the individual episodes.
What market are you in? How many programs did you check?
I am still getting the E1 issue on certain programs, although itâs appearing as 1/1/19 now. Mainly hollyoaks and emmerdale. This is UK OTA. Itâs stopping series recording. This worked before the new epg. Using version 1.16.1.1273. I have deleted and readded the dvr
Airings for HD Channels now have the HD indicator. You may need to do a manual full guide refresh
Iâm not trying to speak on behalf of Plex or @sa2000 here but I suspect the date strategy is how they are currently dealing with shows that have no season+episode structure, like news programs that are daily. My guess is all.
The thing thatâs annoying is that it worked before they changed the epg provider. Itâs not like i can even revert back because in 5 days time the old epg will stop working. Personally i donât care about the info but plex does. If i could tell it to record Ch4 at 6.30pm for 30 mins every weekday it wouldnât be an issue. The issue is that it now thinks Tuesdayâs is the same episode as Mondayâs and refuses to record it, even if you select new and repeat airings.
Do a hard refresh of your guide data (go to DVR Settings and refresh)
They are clearly tweaking the guide and the one that I just got after @sa2000âs last comment (just now) seems to have more proper dates (IE When an show doesnât have a season - episode tie up it has the proper first date it aired) and more season/episode information than before.
For example, my news shows are reporting proper dates:

So setting a recording up would work for them properly. But yes, I get that youâre saying your programs are coming across all as 1/1/19 not with proper dates and that would certainly hamper your ability to record things.
Can confirm programs now are properly labeled HD in most cases. I still have one existing recording that is on an HD channel reporting SD. I will remove the recording and recreate it and see if that fixes it.
Just deleted and re added the DVR. Those specific programs are still coming up as 1/1/19
