Same here… this week is terrible. It’s been ok for me on Freeview Anglia of late until now.
I have not been able to find a freeview announcement here Updates and alerts - however it is mentioned here https://www.rxtvlog.com/p/freeview-updates.html and also the new channel numbers appear here Channel listings for Industry Professionals
I have passed a request to our provider to change the channel numbers for all Scottish Lineups and the National lineup
@sa2000 I’d have thought you’d be asleep? I see there’s still issues with the lineups? Are we any closer to it actually being 95% working for allowing recording of new shows instead of having to set up the recorder to record new and repeat shows?
I’ll soon have my 3 WinTV DualHD tuners back up and running at this new house, but I have a gut feeling I’ll only have 24 channels on Freeview thanks to only being able to receive a relay Transmitter instead of the main one in Wenvoe.
Dave
Going to bed now !
That was a Scotland change in channel numbers that does not appear in the list of change announcements on the freeview web site !
No other issues with lineups
We are working on reverting a set of changes that introduced gaps in the schedule which result in the Unknown Airings. The “Network Programming” may be related - and will be looked if it remains once the gaps issue is resolved
@sa2000 Ah, no problems, I’ll let you know how the channels I’m receiving soon, even if it’s 24 it’ll still give you an idea of how it’s all working here… Like you, I’m about to try and get a couple of hours before I take my 3¾ year old son to school in the morning, then it’s get ready to wire the home with cat6 cable for total GigE ethernet with 75mb broadband connection… Other then that, Plex for everything else is working great…
Dave
So this is why my Dateline NBC recordings from MyNetworkTV come out with bad season & episode numbers. And now it always puts it in Dateline SBS. Lots of work.
Has anyone found a better source for EPG data? My zap2it has the same issues. I’m not getting correct episode information there either.
Tonight’s listing of “The Capture” on BBC1 shows episode as “S1 E4” but with the title “Episode 5”.
Next week’s listing has episode as “1/10/19” and title “A Pilgrim of Justice”.
Is someone at Tivo just sitting there making this sh*t up?
My EPG is now full of “Unknown Airing” !!

I’m in the UK. Plex server installed on a Synology NAS, TV coming into Synology from HDHomeRun twin Tuners, everything current and up to date. Multiple devices using Plex from Apple to Android.
I first noticed yesterday (Monday) Neighbours (Channel 5, SD and HD) and Hollyoaks (Channel 4 SD and HD) were suddenly missing from the Recording Schedule, where previously, give or take reception/interference issues, everything always recorded. But Jeremy Vine (Channel 5) was still there and recorded. Looking forward the entire week and there’s no Neighbours, no Hollyoaks, just blocks of “Unknown Airing”. Then I discovered other shows were missing from the EPG, and schedule. When you try to watch a Channel with an on air “Unknown Airing” you get “Playback Error Unable to tune channel (Not on air)”
Including Channel 4 and Channel 5, ITV2, 5 Star, More 4, ITV 4, QVC (to name just a few) are also showing Unknown Airing this afternoon and beyond. Currently Supermarket Sweep is on ITV2, but in Plex it’s “Unknown Airing” and therefor won’t show anything, but opening the HDHomeRun app on my Mac plays it, so it’s not a HDHomeRun/tuning/antenna issue.
I wasted an entire afternoon yesterday messing with all this, until I came and waded through these forums. In the past I’ve had an issue when my HDHomeRun has an automatic Firmware update, and, to not be technical in the slightest, things get screwy. So I assumed it was that again. So I re scanned the channels, I refreshed in Plex, I refreshed the EPG on the Server, I deleted the DVR, I installed it again, I chose a different OTA EPG provider (from Meridian to Freeview National) I force refreshed the EPG several times, I tried Enhanced Guide…etc. etc…nothing. Shows still missing from my Recording Schedule, big gaps in the EPG, and Channels that don’t tune when there’s an Unknown Airing. Very cross.
I did another sever side EPG refresh this morning. I’m happy to help with answers, screen caps, tests or whatever. Anything to help sort this ASAP.
I am in Northwest UK. Last night i had set up to record Chaos via my HD Homerun Connect Quatro… When i came to watch it today it was some horrible fat women with 8 feet hips or something… utterly disgusted i flicked through it and then there was something about abuse or something… so i deleted it… file name was still called Chaos so i presumed the schedule had changed since setting it up…
I was planning on watching something on channel 5 tonight about a cake factory. i checked with the broadcaster website and it says it is on at 21:15 i go to my guide and it says something else about the tower of london…
confused i have deleted the dvr and rescan channels and put in the postcode and it is now giving me the national lineup instead of the granada one…
Same issue and this time the channel numbers are coming up 003-1 and then again 003-2
So one last time i will delete the whole dvr and scan and put post code in and hope for the best…
I dont want any nasty surprise featuring obese people when i sit down to watch tv again… i do refresh the guide every day but i am starting to think something is wrong with the epg when i see unknown airing and itv programming etc
Don’t know if this helps, but here’s a screen cap of a part of my current Guide, where I’ve highlighted all the current Unknown Airings (that can be seen)
And a screen cap showing from an online EPG what should have been on, highlighting the missing shows, on a couple of the Channels - for someones reference?
Add me to the list with the same issues. I honestly can’t see how it can be that difficult.
I have already posted about the Unknown Airings here New EPG and release
A fix has now been tested in the development environment and data will be updated on the live system to fill in the gaps and revert the change that brought the problem on. I am hoping that it will be in place by tomorrow. A full refresh will then be needed to pick up the updated data
While I’m at it, the episode titles for The Capture that are listed (occasionally) in the EPG are completely wrong.
Given that the poster art is also of the wrong programme, I’m guessing part of the problem might be that it’s matched to completely the wrong thing.
I have asked when the data would start to come through
Could you check other channels for me.
Are these now correct
117 Fuel TV (EMEA)
122 NBC (CNBC Europe)
Is Fuel TV on 117 - wikipedia page for Com_Hem mentions 110
The issue with Click and Click - Short Edition should be resolved now. Episodes will now be date identified and hopefully not give rise to duplicates
Do let me know
I record new episodes of Colbert’s Late Show, this week they are not marked as “new”, so I had to change it to record all episodes instead of new episodes.
Not acceptable. Last week all of the local NBC affiliate’s overnight listing was “unknown”, many other small issues like this add up to a showstopper as a DVR.
Suggestion: Hire a company like Channels DVR and contract out the entire DVR/timeshifting debacle to a company that specializes in it.
Thanks. I’ll do a full guide refresh now and then watch what happens over the weekend.
Unfortunately whilst this has been fixed, it won’t make it into our live EPG environment in time for tonight’s episode. So would need to select recording of New and Repeat Airings for this
