New EPG and release

I am guessing the fix has not yet been put in place. is there any work around for the unknown airing and channel not able to tune problems.

I havent yet played around with the xmltv setting as havent had the time to delve into this yet as i am away from my computer most of the time its a little difficult setting it up as remote access to the server isnt the same as being in front of the windows 10 and downloading files to the hard drive…

I’m not aware of an official statement, either. I found out from a user post on the YouView TV forums.

Thanks for looking into it.

I am also having the unknown airing issue. Just refreshed and it fixed some on itv but hollyoaks and naked attraction still missing on channel 4

And “me too” for unknown airing on tonight’s Jeopardy. I’ve been EPG refreshing all day and still no change.

I’ve said this in countless other threads: IT IS LONG PAST TIME FOR MANUAL RECORDING SUPPORT. Stuff happens, we all understand, but when it does manual recording would let everyone work around the problem.
[edit]Wow! nick of time, my 7:00PM “unknown airing” has cleared at 6:57PM[/edit]

The fix for the gaps that shows as Unknown Airing has now been deployed to the live service and I just checked the UK channels and we have zero gaps. The same issue led also to xxx Programming

A full EPG manual refresh would correct all the gaps and xxx programming erroneous entries

Thanks again for all your help much appreciated!

Death in Paradise on Drama TV on Freeview Anglia OTA at 9pm on Mondays is marked as “NEW” - but it’s actually all repeats.

This is series 6. The last broadcast series was series 8.

I know but Drama UK TV Schedule is showing it as “New”

I guess it depends on what we’re supposed to interpret “New” as meaning.

Is it new to air anywhere in the country? Or is it new to air on that channel?

I’d always assumed the former. Otherwise you have to manually select and fix the channel in your programme reservation … but some programmes might move between channels on the same network (BBC, ITV) legitimately.

No matter what the Drama channel claims, I’d argue that this and anything else they show that’s been aired in the UK before should not be New.

I am going to refer this to our provider. They should not have propagated that New indication - even if it was New for the channel itself

5 posts were split to a new topic: DVR - Extra selected channels on 2nd HDHomerun Prime DVR not showing in EPG

A post was merged into an existing topic: DVR - Extra selected channels on 2nd HDHomerun Prime DVR not showing in EPG

I have checked just now - on channel 7 KIRO 7 and I can see the “New” indicator set for the airings for these times

Fri 2019-Sep-27 06:35 GMT = Thu 2019-Sep-26 23:35 “New” indicator set
Sat 2019-Sep-28 06:35 GMT = Fri 2019-Sep-27 23:35 “New” indicator set

May be there was an issue before and got fixed

Please do a daily full EPG refresh and let me know if you get to a point where the New indicator is not set

It fixed itself with no interaction from me. I went ahead and changed the recording back to “new” after I saw this.

Thanks

It is possible that the “New” indicator is being set very late - do let me know if future airings lose the “New” indicator - but do a manual refresh before

Gotchya, thanks.

That specific reason for the airing to show as New has now been fixed. There may be other reasons and we have an issue still open with us to determine more accurately if an event is new.

@sa2000, any thoughts on this issue of “Channel No Longer Broadcasting”. Today the channels just dropped off of the DVR completely and cannot be mapped when setting/configuring up the DVR (not listed in the drop down) using the Plex EPG provider.

I setup another Plex Server / DVR and used XMLTV from ZaptoIT and it has the missing channels and guide listings and I can tune to the channels just fine…

I just had a few random channels (a couple we’re ones that were previously stating channel no longer broadcasting, but since had been showing program listings) drop off from my EPG as well.

All Scotland lineups and the National UK lineup have now been amended to reflect the changes for Scotland for channels BBC Scotland HD and BBC Four SD.

Going through DVR Setup / Scan Channels would pick the changes

There is a minor issue on the Freeview STV Central OTA Broadcast lineup where an old entry for Al-Jazeera on 108 did not get removed making the new BBC Scotland HDTV channel appear as 108-1. This will be looked into and may change to 108. When that happens recording schedules for the channel will need to be recreated.
