New EPG and release

There is actually also some improvements in what happens for other than sport / news. Where we fail to match we will now try and keep the EPG metadata.

For now keep it disabled as it will impact the fix that was done for Sport / News. I have raised an issue internally on this

Hmmm
I am very tempted to upgrade, but alas too many issues have arisen since 1.17. I’ll give it a week and see if bug reports pop up. Would like to have this finally sorted.

Is there any way to disable this or view which content has not been matched (non sport/news)

I use Trakt for keeping a record of what i watch, if something is not matched then i need to know so i can do a fix match on it to correct it

I don’t think Fix Match would help in most of these cases. It is ones where there was nothing to match it to.

We do write a log entry to the Plex Media Server.log file
"Not updating GUID for recorded show xxxxxx (xxxx doesn't look like a match with Lev similarity of xxx)

This brings up a very good point. Is there some way that DVR related logs can go to their own log where they belong? Preferably without the tens of thousands of lines of guide data included.

Will do - and confirmed, there is still an issue with the Enhanced Guide, but it’s OK if Enhanced is not enabled. Thanks!

@sa2000 Testing new updates now. Please, please refer the issue of DVR recording spanish and american broadcasts for sporting events. Second, the issue with recording “college/university” football/basketball etc. I really need to have recordings for local sports when traveling, but recording all sports (hockey, volleyball, gymnastics) for Notre Dame or Pittsburgh uses all of my tuners and ruins my DVR.

Even if I could selectively cancel one instance of the schedule I would at least be able to use it. Thank you.

Could you expand on that. Giving exact details so I can replicate the issue and then understand it and report it to our provider or our team - depending on what the issue is

Lineup / channel number / channel name / airing time / time zone / event and what the issue is

Again - let me have exact steps to what you are having to do and what you would like to be able to do

Right now the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing the Cleveland Browns (fios pittsburgh, 15222), it is recording two channels 1534-Fox Deportes en Espanol, and 507-WPGH-DT (Fox). Prior to the event recording, it only shows for Fox, and the Fox Deportes is convenient for soccer games so I’d prefer not to just delete the channel.

  1. I want to record the University of Pittsburgh Men’s Basketball, and Men’s Football games. Only these two sports. If I set up the scheduled recordings for Notre Dame, the option does not exist for “Men’s Football” or “Men’s Basketball.” You can replicate this by scheduling a recording Notre Dame or Pittsburgh in FIos/15222, and the result is it recording every sport that university plays. So I scheduled recordings for Notre Dame Football, but right now it is recording Notre Dame vs Michigan Womens Basketball (8-10ET). TLDR I want to be able to record specific sports for colleges. Ie Notre Dame Men’s Basketball, or Notre Dame Football. Not just “all Notre Dame events”

Please feel free to ignore this if it is already being addressed. W28DB in the “Broadcast TV Grnvll-Spart-Ashvll OTA Broadcast” lineup has moved virtual channels, as of Nov. 12th. They’re now on 31.x (they were on 28.x). This is only a cosmetic issue at the moment as I’m able to map the 31.x channels scanned by my HDHR to their 28.x equivalents that the guide data still references.

I’ve completed the form here, if it helps:

Thanks!

Thank you for the info and the form. This has been referred to our provider to make the changes

How are the recordings scheduled ?
I can see now there is an event that appears on the 2 channels

“FĂștbol americano de la NFL” on 1534 Fox Deportes en Espanol
and as
“NFL Football” on 507 Fox
Event at 22 November 01:00 am UTC

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

Do you have all “NFL Football” and all “FĂștbol americano de la NFL” scheduled ?

Edit:
or is selecting to record all events for each of
Indianapolis Colts
Houston Texans

Are these on 1534 and 507 ? I cannot find any references to such events

I’ve reported this before. I selected to record all new NBA Mavericks games. This means, in addition to dupes, I also record every airing in spanish, even though the title is completely different: “Baloncesto de la NBA”. I did not select, nor do I want these.

Ok - so it is the selection of events by team that leads to multi language recordings from different channels

Indeed. It seems like a language selector is required. And maybe an “all languages” option in the case someone actually does want the other language airings when they happen.

I will raise a feature request for this. It is going by the Team ID’s and so picking the other channels.

We have checked a TiVo box and the same behaviour is there as well.

I have looked further into this. This will be dependent on our processing of keywords which is on the plan. Once these are available, then filters can be improved for scheduling of recordings

Weekend again so lots of scheduling of movies and the issue of the schedule not accounting for the second half of movies is again screwing up the scheduling. This used to work so surely is fixable - please - I’ve asked many times - when will this be fixed?
