I have posted a status update recently - see UK Freeview EPG - #58 by sa2000
Are you referring to these?
“NFL Football” / “Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs” ?
“NFL Football” / “New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens”
These are “taped” events and at the moment we are classing these as “New” as some are flagged as “taped” when transmitted semi live with a few seconds delay.
We have an open issue for this to change how “taped” events are handled.
Thank you. I’ve checked and it’s not really an update is it - is there an update other than it’s being looked at, which is now a 5 month old status? A timescale would be helpful.
Note: my annual pass payment has been taken since the time the problem was reported. Your payment system collection seems to be absolutely spot on in terms of functionality.
Finally Updated to 1.18.2.2029, EPG is refreshing. So far Chanel 4 news at 6 looks to have pulled metadata from the EPG. Well see how tomorrow goes with all the Football games. Looking forward to seeing several games in the list not 1 game with 6 parts.
I am using Los Angels area OTA guide.
On the naming, that would be greatly appreciated! Here is how these look on Zap2It, for example (and used to on the EPG also) - just picked out a few to try to illustrate. Just yell if you have questions. Thanks so much!
Got a response from our provider. The round information is available in the synopsis text. The title does not have it. They aim to have it in the title for majors for the PGA Tour Golf
I have an extract here of what the synopsis text has as examples
First of all – thanks for following up! Much appreciated.
You are right in what you say, and I had seen this, but unfortunately without the round number in the name, there are a couple issues that result (that don’t when the round is in the name),
Make sense?
Thanks again.
Another new station (21.3 - ThisTV) in the DFW (US - 75252) market that I can receive but not watch because it’s not in the guide data.
Are we going to have to go through this for every station add/change?
I’ll check my neighbor’s Tablo this afternoon (uses gracenote) and is about the same total cost of ownership ($200 for quad tuner [$150 on Holiday sale], $149 for lifetime DVR powered by gracenote) and a “piece of storage”. It seems to just work for him plus they seem to fix bugs as reported.
Syncing, this is a bit bigger issue. As there is no (real) episode number, then if 2 rounds are synced … they show up with EXACTLY the same name in sync. Very difficult to tell them apart them, or remove one or the other.
Is the date not visible ? The rounds are on separate days

LOL. I don’t know who the new provider is, but they do seem incompetent. I reported a wrong program listing (weekly show) back in September, and have had back and forth conversation on it for two months. They still haven’t been able to fix it. Gracenote has had the weekly listing right the whole time.
Don’t be so fast to condemn the provider, we’re dealing with a 3rd party in these issues

DVR—Broadcast TV Dallas-Ft. Worth OTA Broadca
Thank you - the channel has been added by our provider and has come through in this weekend’s update. I am referring it to our engineering team to look into why it does not show yet.

Thank you for the info and the form. This has been referred to our provider to make the changes
Is there any update available as to the status of this request? Thanks.
Is there any update available as to the status of this request? Thanks.
It has been done but I have not checked it out myself. Please go through DVR settings and see if you can see the change from 28.x to 31.x
Thanks very much. The migrated channels (31.x) are indeed present in the channel assignment dialog now; however, after assigning them and refreshing the guide there is no data for them. They all show as “To be announced.”
I’ll try again in 2-3 days to give it time to populate, assuming it just hasn’t had sufficient opportunity to do so yet. I’ll report back if there are issues.
As a side note, in the same request I noted that 31.1 (nee 28.1) was actually GEB America (not independent) and that 31.9 (nee 28.9) was Aliento (not independent). Neither of those changes are reflected yet. 31.9 has been added, but is listed as IND.
I can confirm that it is mappable but have yet to complete a guide refresh. Waiting for all tuners to free up to add the station and then I’ll force a scan.
UPDATE - I was able to add the station on one tuner pair and force a scan. There is guide data. Will review it over the next week or so for accuracy.
I think the upstream provider made a mistake when they made the changes; the 31.x channels are now listed as W15EJ, which is a completely different market (Hendersonville, NC). They should still be W28DB. And, there’s still no program information listed for 31.x when mapped in the DVR setup. It only shows To Be Announced.
To be clear, 31.x in my market should replace 28.x; they should not be in addition to 28.x. And it should reflect the guide data for W28DB. It was simply a virtual channel change.
Thanks for all the help thus far.
[Edit to add]
If it helps at all, here’s the HDHR guide data for my market.
