I know you mentioned that ITV and Channel 5 are 7 days, but is all of the above expected?
Additionally:
Now 90s - Is showing âNow 90s Programmingâ (Reported here - I know you reported it to the provider but I donât know if it was fixed)
4seven has an oddity as it has a 3h 35m slot of â4seven Programmingâ from 05:25 on Saturday 1st February
BBC Four has a very small (2 minute) oddity in that âThis BBC Fourâ runs on the 1st February from 05:30 to 18:58, followed by a 2 minute run of âThis is BBC Fourâ until 19:00 at which point âBBC Four Programmingâ starts. 19:00 is obviously where there should be show data but why is the 2 minutes beforehand a separate listing? Surely this should be 05:30 to 19:00 ?
And on a totally separate note:
One for the web team (I guess) but how do I stop the auto-completion of emojis when I type a 24 hour time in on the forums?
Hi @sa2000. I reported this via the form but I thought Iâd drop a line here to make sure you were aware as well. This one is somewhat urgent for me as one of the channels (Heroes and Icons) airs all of the Star Trek series and I like to record them.
For any of the links above which request a zip code, use 29607. Some allowed direct linking to the actual region data, some did not. Sorry.
Weâve had some channel shake-ups in the area over the last several months and when the dust settled, these channels were gone. They were previously in the guide, with the wrong channel call sign.
I only picked on prime channels. Some channels are never more than 5-6 days eg Blaze. Most channels would normally get extended over the weekend. This weekendâs ingestion is being deferred till Monday because of an issue we are investigating and fixing - so the days will drop before the Plex Media Server automatic refresh Monday night.
I have given a reply there just now. I am afraid that will stay this way.
There are oddities like that near the end of available usable program data. So BBC Four valid data stops at 03:30 am on 1st February 2020 giving 6 days of data like some of the other channels
Generic entries get replaced as and when they become available.
There are sometimes gaps like that in schedules - these get corrected at later date when the data our provider gets from the channel is updated.
TitanTV uses Gracenote I believe, which is what Plex was using before the switch last June. I imagine it would cost the same if not more than plain Gracenote, unless TitanTV is injecting ads to help pay for it or something.
TatanTV is free to use and accurate. PLEX is pay to use and wrong!
Ya, I thought they used gracenote too but had I said that theyâd have some snarly comment Iâm sure. Thatâs why I said âgo back to what we had that workedâ!
What I should have said is that having 5 days of data for channels such as jewellery channel should have no real user impact - I do not think anyone would want to schedule a recording for marketing channel for an airing that is in a weekâs time
Ok I will rephrase againâŠ
Some channels have 12-13 days of data. Some channels have 7 days of data. Some channels have 5-6 days of data. That is what it is. The aim is always to try and get 14 days of epg data.
Some channels do not provide more than a few days of data and I was not going to escalate as an issue if a marketing channel such as the Jewellery Channel was only providing 5 days. There are much higher priority issues to spend time on and get resolved.
I did before escalate the 5 days on Blaze but it was found that this is all they provide
There is always going to be the 48 hour loss or so to allow for the data to get to the Plex Media Server going through time to ingest data by our provider then to feed into the data we fetch daily and then into the servers.
So if there is significantly more than 7 days of data for Blaze elsewhere then I can revisit that and follow it up
A large number of episode descriptions are and have been showing series descriptions again. Itâs been going on for a couple weeks. I can determine no pattern as even back to back episodes will show one with a series description and one with an episode description. Dallas/Ft. Worth market (75252).
When can we expect all this guide data to return to a reliable state as it was before the switch last June?
Cartoon network daytime schedule starting tomorrow is almost entirely wrong. Next weeks night time programming is almost entirely wrong as well.
In addition to being completely incorrect a ton of episodes have no S/E data nor any identifying information like original air date. Itâs like being back in the 80âs.
In fact itâs really quite humorous when it goes bad like this, because it ALWAYS goes to the same stock completely incorrect BS. Itâs almost like the provider has some default junk they just stuff in to say look somethings there!!!
