I ran a full refresh after I got home from work yesterday evening and, I have only really taken a quick look, but I have data on most channels until 00:00 on Saturday 8th February now which is good.
I did note that some of the Channel 5 channels (5 Star and 5 Select for example) start to run thin before then.
Other non mainstream channel issues included:
Ideal Home - Lots of “Unknown Airings” between shows until Saturday 1st February at 00:00 when this changes “To Be Announced”.
HOCH - Lots of “Unknown Airings” between shows until Sunday at 00:00 when this also changes to “To Be Announced” - just a day later!
QVC and QVC Beauty have a number of “QVC Beauty Programming”, “Unknown Airing” and “To Be Announced”. I didn’t look too much into this given your statement above.
Gems also have some “Unknown Airings”.
Blaze (and +1) - “Blaze Programming” from Sunday at 00:00.
I can’t say when exactly but some time last week the Denver Market episodes corrected themselves (at least for the ones I was tracking). I had found six errors out of 25 planned recordings for the week which was roughly the same as the previous week,. I ended up with only one for the week and now it looks like all future recordings have the correct episode.
So good news in general, but i am still on edge and have to check everything weekly until I get some confidence. It was clearly getting worse week after week but call me a dreamer as I’m hopeful. To the others in the Denver market that have already posted please add comments if you are seeing corrections and/or remaining problems.
Now that said… We are one market, it may only be good for a week and the EPG has clearly had more than its fair share on errors. It would be good for Plex to formally acknowledge the problem and share the strategy for resolution.
St. Louis, Intermittent guide issues. In all cases for me the episode that is airing, comparing all sources, is new. However the guide is showing very old…and eample
Chicogo PD Airing at 9pm central guide showing S7 E06…title correctely matches that episode. However the actual show that is going to air is S07 E13. Naturally it’s not showing as new and so my Plex will not record.
I just checked the trash and a list of recently added shows, nothing appears to have been mis-identified in the last couple weeks (pretty slow time for the shows I record, but the 3 or 4 that came through look good).
Fixes have been made to NCIS - see my previous post here New EPG and release - #1242 by sa2000 and also Law & Order. I presume you were referring to Law & Order: SVU ?
Please always quote airing date/time/timezone and exact series title in addition to the lineup, channel number and name.
For Law & Order: Special Victims Unit series, we have now the following for Denver ota channel 9.1 NBC
I can say that the last few episodes of Bull and All Rise have been screwed up for OTA recording in the GTA of Ontario. L5K2S8 postal code - didn’t record last nigth since it was listed as episode ‘14’, but 14 was recorded a while ago with WRONG DESCRIPTIOn so it was probably really episode ‘13’. Sure enough Bull has been recorded ‘6’ times or someting with the episode one higher than it should have been., so again lost a few episodes.
Tivo used to do this one a year - this has become an ongoing/non-ending problem it seems.
I mean the whole reason I pay for this is so i don’t have to manage all this myself. By the time you double check plexs mistakes you don’t have much time left!!
Regarding the problem where overnight scheduled tasks to auto refresh the guide were not running. Is the issue still there? I have a diagnostic build available to try and get more debug information.

Overall the Denver EPG guide is much improved… I have seen corrections for Bull, NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, Modern Family, and Law and Order SVU. Noticed today as I continue to audit weekly that this weeks Will & Grace is the wrong episode. Listed as 10 when it should be 9. Next weeks is not showing on the recording schedule so it could be corrected and would cause a missed recording if the error is not fixed.
Be aware Denver… Little errors are still popping up.
Thank you for catching up with this… I must admit, that the numerous EPG and transcoder problems stopped me from relying on the Plex DVR solution and that I am using a paid service solution for now to record and later download my recordings.
I am still recording by now and I still do have the transcoder errors. I did not check for any EPG problems lately. In response to your request, I raised the number of log files and tomorrow, I will PM you another set of logs to see whether or not are still problems on my Windows PMS DVR…

I am still interested to save my money and rely on my own PMS solution, but only if I can trust the EPG and the DVR solution enough.
There have been corrections made for Star Trek. I can still see one airing marked as New and I referred this back to our provider
With regards to Red Bull Signature series, the airings are marked as Taped and there is an outstanding development work at our end in how to improve on how we handle “Taped” airings

Please always give me channel number and channel name - it took me ages to establish what channel you were referring to for “Sunday night Fox cartoon schedule” and I assumed in the end it must be 925 FXX
Also to investigate I can only follow up specifics. So I can do nothing for a statement like: “Sunday night Fox cartoon schedule is out of wack”
But I can follow up “Bob’s Burgers is not marked new and has wrong S/E data.” - and specific examples would speed up investigations eg airing at xxxx shows as xxxxx - should be xxxx
Again I am guessing channel is 925 FXX - please always specify both channel number and name

Channel 19.1 is not YouToo. This channel is actually WFND and it’s programming is a simulcast of BCSN (TV SCHEDULE | BCSN). See the Toledo, Ohio area Buckeye Cable EPG for the BCSN listing.

Can you confirm whether this should be “WFND Sports 1?” We understand that it is a simulcast of BCSN.
Response I have from our provider is that sequencing for this series has been corrected.
Please always specify channel number and channel name when reporting issues as I am unable to verify otherwise. This is needed in addition to the zip/lineup/series name/airing time & timezone
