The issue is still there. I just need to know if you share media paths as network shares between servers as the build I have does not include the recent fix for recording .grab directories being purged by other servers
If I understand you correctly, you want to know if one of my servers uses a remote directory as library location (or if two servers share the same destination pathes).
No to both⦠I have two PMS (one is QNAP, the other Windows [the one that has DVR enabled and you got the logs for]). Both are using local directories for the media and for library content.
For media pathes, I use network shares to read from and write to⦠in order to add new media, for example.
Does anyone actually use tape anymore? Would it be better to shift the terminology for these to prerecorded?
Thank you for confirming that all libraries media paths for the 2 servers are local and not shared network paths
I have sent you download link for a debug build
It must be old terminology. Some channels delay broadcast by few seconds and the setting was I believe introduced for these channels. But it also gets used for what appears to be some repeats !
The new season of MacGyver started on CBS this past Friday (S04E01). However the recording schedule shows no further episodes even though the second episode (S04E02) is listed in the guide for next Friday.
When I view the details it shows the poster art for the original MacGyver series in 1985.
Spectrum Portland, Maine Channel 13 CBS. CBS Evening News for Monday 2/10/2020 is labeled 2/7/2020 and appears as a duplicate and not recording⦠I still donāt understand the randomness of the EPG dysfunction, accurate one day and AFU the next⦠Just doesnāt make sense and really speaks volumes to the reliability of the service. Reporting something and you work to fix it still is no guarantee that it will remain fixed so the babysitting of EPG must continue, which Iām sure I speak for everyone posting on this thread, is getting quite old.
Iāve switched my recordings over to Channels, purely for the DVR function (now that WMC isnāt a cheap fallback option). I wonāt be renewing my non-lifetime Plex Pass since the DVR was the only feature I needed from that. After two years of giving them the benefit of the doubt the Plex DVR is still too unreliable. I have basically lost all hope they are competent enough to ever fix it.
The guide has the wrong season and episode information for Black Sheep Squadron, airing on Heroes & Icons (31.5) in my lineup (Broadcast TV Grnvll-Spart-Ashvll OTA Broadcast). The next airing is on 2/15 at 7 PM EST, and is season 1, episode 2. The guide has it as season 2, episode 15 (which, incidentally, doesnāt even exist). The season and episode information for last weekās airing was incorrect as well, showing season 2 episode 14 when it should have been 1 and 1, respectively. H&I just started airing this show so there may be some kinks to work out.
I reported this via the form as well.
There seems to have been some shuffling in the Denver, CO (zip 80020) market channel line up again. It appears shows now have the correct episodes however Iāve noticed the following (granted sub channels but nice to have the right stuff):
- 2.2 Is now COURT TV (Plex schedule still shows it as THISTV but has the right shows)
- 2.3 is COMET (Plex has MeTV-E and its schedule, which is actually the same schedule as 20.2, which is now apparently H&I. What is showing on 20.2 matches the schedule, 2.3 does not match)
- 4.2 is StartTV Plex shows it as DECADES (I donāt know enough about the show on but I think it matches what is being displayed)
- 7.3 is now āSOONā and LAFF-TV has moved to 7.4
There look to be other discrepancies however I donāt currently have the channels turned on to mess with.
The EPG not auto refreshing overnight has now been tracked to a scheduled task to generate preview thumbnails hanging - well it is not hanging but the transcoder failing and on Windows Server 2012 there looks like to be a default policy setting (or may be you enabled it) of prompting the user when an application crashes and the process remains paused until the user responds to that prompt -
The paused scheduled task video thumbnailing activity is resulting scheduled tasks including EPG refresh to queue up but by the time the hung process is killed by acknowledging the Error Notification prompt, the scheduled tasks time window would have lapsed and so the queued scheduled tasks are cancelled.
I have referred the details to our development team to see if we can handle a paused windows process in a different way and not impact other tasks.
But what you can do now is:
GPEdit ā Computer Settings ā Administrative Templates ā Windows Components ā Windows Error Reporting ā Prevent Display of the user interface for critical errors
Did as instructed, then restarted the serverā¦
Would be perfect to get some feedback on the error itself and when itās fixed. Thx for all your kind efforts.

The walking dead S10E09 - Bonus Edition. No idea what it is, definitely not S10E09
Feb 23, 20:00
The walking dead S10E10 - Squeeze. This is S10E09.
Specials should not just be injected into the series. I would not be surprised if the real S10E10 is labeled S10E10 so itās skipped over when it airs the following weekā¦
Also.
Disney Channel 847. Big City Greens episodes are majority completely mislabeled. The episode titles are correct, but the S/E data is very often off. Not only that but the provider is enumerating the episode data without taking into consideration the double airings. It should not go S01E01 to S01E02, it should go S01E01 to S01E03. Then at least you can split up the episodes manually and not affect the dvr scheduling. As of now any show affected by this bug means you canāt process it at all without potentially removing the possibility of recording the gaps.
Hereās a fun one. Denver area (80020) PBS station 6.3 From 8am - 8pm Local time (mountain) the channel is Create TV. From 8pm - 8am the channel is āWorld Channelā.
Presently the schedule only shows the Create programming.
Tonightās episode of Schittās Creek not showing new in Plex. Would have missed it if I hadnāt have not randomly checked the DVR schedule.

Thank you @Noah0504 ! I would have completely missed it if not for your note here. Why canāt Plex get the EPG running consistently? This seems to be a non-stop problem now. Season and Episode numbers are just running amok, and umarked new shows. How are they also getting Walking Dead wrong as noted by NDInnovations above? Thatās such a popular show.
Theyāre also getting the sports wrong. Recent College Basketball game marked as a Football game. While I agree itās often tough to tell the difference at times ā¦
This whole guide fiasco has been ridiculous and self inflicted by PLEX. But when the LiveTV/DVR fails at basic DVR101 features itās at least consistent.
Itās like they are just making junk up because they donāt have an official source to pull from, or something. Or else they have data entry folks intentionally sabotaging the data.

They definitely have a source to pull from, which is why some of us are often mystified over some of the small issues like very popular programs not being marked as new or having the correct season and episode information. Other than Schittās Creek, I havenāt had an issue in awhile, but Iām subscribed to this thread, so I see that other often still do.
So, just like I said would happen: The Walking Dead was not fixed in time so some bumper BS was recorded as S10E09 and therefore the real S10E09 is not set to record tonight
Be aware any TWD fans!
