Regarding the issues with Ask This Old House and This Old House first airings not being marked as new, I’m seeing the same issue with The This Old House Hour:
The airing on 4/2 at 11 PM EDT on 29.3 (ETVW) is the first in my market, but isn’t being marked as new. The airing on 4/3 at 12 AM EDT on 29.1 (SCETV) is the first HD airing in my market and should likely be marked as new as well.
My lineup is Broadcast TV Grnvll-Spart-Ashvll OTA Broadcast.
For what it’s worth, this series is configured to prefer HD and record new and repeat airings; so, the 4/3 HD airing is the one which it’s choosing to record (as expected).
EPG for The Young and the Restless, (Spectrum HD Portland, Maine Channel 13), appears to be hosed (Episode Numbering) as of today. Had been corrected in January and was perfect through Feb/March but now, not so much.
What is the actual issue and what impact does it have ?
Looking at all airings for this show on 13 CBS the only bit I can see that is wrong is the originally aired date which for the 3rd April onwards is a day early and that is caused by Canada having these episodes airing a day early.
Are you losing recordings ? If you are, could you get me server logs with debug logging enabled beforehand for one of these recordings that is getting lost. Capturing the logs a few minutes after end
I have similar issues with This Old House. The Saturday airings are not marked as new and have the wrong episode number. Most episodes have no episode number or title. I have the same problems with Austin City Limits on the same channel. This is channel 32.1 WHUTHD in the Washington(Hagrstwn) lineup.
Thanks for the feedback. I am passing it on to our EPG ingestion engineering team. The issue arises when there is another country in the region with an earlier airing date - in this case it is Canada.
I have an open issue on this and it requires future development work
It is 845. Lucky that number was close to 842 so not difficult to find in my dropdown)
The problem is that these airings are being broadcast by Nickelodeon as combos
I spent some time seeing what they are and they appear to be half hour airings of episode combinations
I am not aware of any changes that would have changed the original air dates for The Young and The Restless
If it is still ok, could you get me zip of a copy of the EPG database files
Copy out the 3 files with names starting tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud- and zip the copied files
The files would be in the Databases folder
which by default is: C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases
