New EPG and release

I only regularly record “The This Old House Hour” but it appears to be correct now, as far as I can tell. I did a quick check of “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House” and they seem to be correct as well. I’ve set my schedule up to only record new episodes again and it looks like it’s getting everything.

One bit of weirdness is that the DVR Schedule tab only shows the “New” tag for “This Old House” and “Ask This Old House,” but all three are set to record only new:

So it knows that it’s new, it’s just not tagging it as such. Likely just a cosmetic issue. My market is Broadcast TV Grnvll-Spart-Ashvll OTA Broadcast, if it matters.

And thanks very much for having gotten this corrected; being able to just record new episodes again will be great.

Hi

I understand sequencing was corrected for Snowpiercer on Turner Network Television Channel

Could you let me know if there are still errors?

S01E02 and S01E03 are correctly labeled now, thanks.

I reported problems with WHUT (Washington DC) for This Old House at the beginning of April. Was this ever fixed (might try Plex Pass/DVR again if so)?

The feedback I have from our provider is that the errors were corrected. Hence my request for confirmation. I forgot to include you in my post.

Thanks for the feedback @NDInnovations @pshanew @Gonzo-the-Great

@cncb so it looks that the issue with “This Old House” is now fixed

I just realized I never replied to this. Last time I checked this was not fixed, but I stopped using Plex as a DVR a long time ago. It was completely unusable for me with so many errors. Just looking in on this thread and seeing how many errors there still are, I can’t understand how Plex still promotes this feature. If I hadn’t already paid for lifetime subscription, I would’ve cancelled any payment to this company a looong time ago.

All well and good that a minor numbering issue was fixed, but cartoon network 48/848 schedule for tonight is still almost 100% incorrect and has not reflected the changes in the schedule that were made a week ago.

Also, on Nickelodeon 45/845 “Ollie’s Pack” has nonsensical numbering.

A few weeks ago I went to watch it and wondered why I only had a third of the season recorded. Then I looked at the guide data and noticed the same BS repeating numbering done again. Now the show is airing again and I see it is still fubar.

I cannot understand how your guide provider takes a brand new show with a minimal amount of episodes and just decides “ok i’ll arbitrarily take these episodes with completely different titles and just number them identically”. Over and over and over

Look at the data. There are two S01E03, in the past there must have been triplicates or quadrupicates even. I’ve had to basically record a single episode at a time, move it outside of plex, refresh plex, and then hope that it will re-record the “same” episode.

How the heck does multiple identically S/E numbered episodes with completely different titles pass any sort of error checking?

Unfortunately, this still does not seem to be fixed. See screenshot below. Season/episode numbers are still missing for some and the Saturday episodes are still not marked as new. Of this list, only the Jun 3 episode (E26) is marked as new and E25 will not be recorded which is new tomorrow, May 23. Most of the Austin City Limits episodes are still missing season/episode numbers as well.

airings

Looks like I spoke too soon. Ask This Old House S18 E26 not marked as new. Although this as “ASK” This old house, I believe it was part of the original report.

Thanks - I will refer it back

I have flagged these - but there is actually a general issue on PBS which we already had a response for stating that PBS is not currently giving repeat/new type information in their schedules. We have a number of open tickets relating to PBS and the “New” indicator

Beyond that, there is also a lot of missing episode details (season/episode numbers, titles, descriptions) so it is difficult to even manually select an episode to record so you don’t miss one.

I have just checked the channels own schedule on https://www.whut.org/home/tv-schedule/ and it does appear to be completely wrong for “This Old House” - I have escalated this

Perhaps you should try Schedules direct. They seem to have it correct. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Weeks later and Victor & Valentino on cartoon network 48/848 is still a nonsensically numbered always new complete freaking mess.

The numbering is nonsensical that it’s gone far past the episodes that actually exist and labeled a bunch of the stupid “random combined” episodes as valid S/E numbered episodes and prevented me from recording the actual new episodes.

Your guide provider is never going to get this right are they?

Guess what. That’s right, something in the EPG is wrong.

June 2nd and 3rd have incorrect primetime listings for The CW network.

It is about to reach the point where Plex needs to start paying someone to update the EPG data. Whatever A.I. is being used just isn’t doing the job.

Last night’s Legends of Tomorrow was still incorrectly labeled as E13 instead of E14. Once I updated the file name, now Plex can no longer find metadata…This is getting really frustrating. This was after creating a new DVR library and starting from scratch.

It looks like almost all primetime listings for The CW network are wrong as well. This includes new shows like Stargirl. The first two episodes recorded without issue. But everything else since then is wrong.

Here is what is listed by the network.
