QI XL airing on BBC 2 tonight (21st September 2019) S11 E13 “Quirky” - should be S17 E1.
I’m on Freesat South and I don’t see those blocks but on SUN evening there is a black hole in Channel 4 and 5:
There are more similar holes, for example:
CSI: Miami on 071 CBS Drama
Episodes are showing as dd/mm/yy - CSI: Miami (airdate) instead of season/episode - title and also showing itself has being HD
CSI: Miami on 021 5 USA is OK.

Turns out this black holes show up as Unknown Airings on my desktop computer; even doing an EPG refresh doesn’t make any difference.

I have referred the sequencing issue for QI XL on both channels to our provider
Yes we have a problem which is under investigation - how it appears varies from client to client
Please do continue to do daily EPG refresh. This issue is new and would not get cleared by a refresh. It has been referred to our EPG team to investigate
This was because channel CBS Drama was only providing TV Show level data and not episode data. Episode numbers have now been added for october 1st onwards
I will look into where the HD setting for some of the airings on this channel is coming from.

There are a number of causes for gaps. One is the Plex Media Server automatic periodic refreshes - at the moment that does not pick all updates and new data and so gaps may result. (This is being changed to a full refresh overnight every day - but until then, my advice is to manually do a daily refresh)
With the EPG up to date as far as Plex Media Server refreshes are concerned, any gaps would then be due to other factors - as the one I mentioned, Basically the advice is do manual refreshes daily so that we know the lack of refreshes is not the cause of the observed gaps
These are still showing as “Unknown Airing”
I was going to record 2 programs on Channel 4 HD tonight (Tories at war 9pm and Bitcoin Billionaire’s Club at 10pm) but it won’t even let me record the unknown airing.
Having to use another program to record them isn’t what I’d call acceptable for a paid service. The only reason I haven’t ditched Plex as a DVR is the fact that sa2000 is trying to resolve these issues but Plex in general really needs to get their act together in testing new “features” before release.

I have the same problem as @Puzzled as I also wanted to record Tories at War and despite a number of refreshes today it still hasn’t replaced the Unknown Airing.
This appears to be still an issue. I have referred it back to our provider as Episode 4 for Tuesday is showing as E05

I just switched it on on my TV - currently showing Rugby World Cup 2019 Live: (Wales v Georgia)
…maybe that restriction is unique to your area? (I am Meridian/Central)
During the day looks ok, it’s tonight where it goes wrong (just noticed Ch.4 has issues also)
Perhaps another refresh is needed, did one just before 9am, I am ITV Tyne Tees
Radio 4 extra seems to have been lost again - just showing Radio Programming (Freeview STV Central OTA Broadcast)
