Thanks SA2000. I refreshed my guide anyway.
Next week’s episode of A Confession is now showing as NEW
However, next week’s episode of Plebs is showing as S4E11 instead of S5E3
@sa2000 I noticed today that the EPG only “sees” 8 days so right now it cuts off after Fri-11th. I thought we should be seeing at least v2 weeks info?
cheers,
James.
Crime and Punishment is showing all channels, i.e. it’s not recognising the episodes correctly; also it’s not marked as new; and I also noticed that the date is in the wrong format (“10/4” instead of “4/10”):

I’m tuned into Freesat South.
Correct - we should see 2 weeks; I just did an EPG refresh and I also can only see details up to SAT morning.
The UK data has been about 8 to 9 days of actual programs. The number of days varies from channel to channel (or rather group of channels / source) - that was the reason for the automatic EPG refresh process not being suitable and needed to change
That appears to be correct now. Yes on the 1st October the EPG showed the ITV2 7th October as S4 E11 - but EPG refreshes on the 2nd October and later showed it correctly as S5 E3 at 22:00 on 7th
There appears to be several issues. I will them to our provider. Which channels were these scheduled recordings for ?
I don’t think this is a recent change - There have been Plex Web issues like this before.
I will raise a fresh issue on this for Plex Web
Crime and Punishment is shown on Channel 4 and its variations; looking at the 3 scheduled recordings in more detail, they seem to be for episode 3 showing on 4seven; new episode 4 is broadcast on MON 07 OCT at 21:00 on Channel 4 but this is not showing up in my EPG or recording schedule yet.
Anyway, those 3 on FRI are all scheduled for the same time at 21:00; the 1st one on 4seven without episode details:

The 2nd one links to the already recorded episode 3 in my library:

And the 3rd one is on 4seven without episode details but says it’s recorded successfully:

I agree - I’m sure this has been there for while; only just noticed it though
Is there an issue with Have I Got a Bit More News for You?

The MON one is for S56E06 on Dave, and the TUE one is for S56E09 on Dave, i.e. they are repeats but they show as NEW. Or is this correct because maybe they are new for Dave?
I see that we have some referred to as “Crime and Punishment” and others as “Crime & Punishment” and ending up being 2019 for the first and 2002 series for the second.
I will request that they are all identified as “Crime and Punishment” / 2019 series
It is also on 66 CBS Reality - I will look further into these as well to see if it the 2019 series as well.
Do you notice that CBS Reality is an hour out?
I’m haven’t got the CBS channels tuned in my setup but I checked the programmes on tvguide.co.uk and the CBS and Channel 4 programmes are different. The Channel 4 one is a UK documentary from 2019 whereas the CBS one is a US drama.
I am posting this in a number of forum threads
RE Plex Media Server 1.18.0.1846 Beta
- (EPG) Change to daily full guide refresh instead of incremental refreshes multiple times a day. (#9403)
We have a bug in music refresh of metadata scheduled task that gives a failure and stops other scheduled tasks from running after it. This bug is impacting the scheduled task to do a full EPG Refresh.
A hot fix release is expected early next week - until then and if you are already on 1.18.0.1846 beta, please do a daily manual EPG refresh as there would no refreshes run
cheers.
…so I shouldn’t be concerned that after ~24 hours, I still cannot see past next Friday (i.e. there is now one less day of visible recordings)?
I was positive that I had at least 10 days worth of overview last week…
Thanks for highlighting this.
I do see that over the last 3 days, the number of days of available usable data (ie prior to the generic / TBA data) has shrunk by 1 day each day.
I have reported it to our provider
np - was more worried that I was imagining things…
Just watching channel 5 where Friends is on, but according to the guide it should be ‘Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun’. The last episode of Friends should have been Series 4 Episode 14. The one currently being shown is Series 4 Episode 15 ‘The One With All the Rugby’.
It is correct on the Freeview guide!!!
Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun is on after Friends, but it is supposed to be Episode 5 and Plex is saying Episode 3.
Everything seems to be messed up!!!
There are then two programs 'Rich House, Poor House & ‘World’s Most Luxurious Hotels’ which aren’t evening being shown according to Freeview.
EDIT: Just done a full EPG update and it seems to have corrected the Friends issue and the additional programs that are not being aired, but the episode information is still wrong for ‘Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun’. It is saying it is showing Series 2 Episode 3 twice. It should be Episodes 5, 6 & 7 being shown in a row.
‘The Nile: Egypt’s Great River, with Bettany Hughes’ being shown at 18:10 on CH5 should be Episode 6, but Plex is showing it as episode 2.
The new season of The Apprentice on BBC 1 is once again matching to the Irish version of the show, with the wrong cover art and no description (albeit the filename is picking up South Africa for the first episode correctly). I noticed the same problem last year. Guide data seems correct, so not sure why it’s then getting it wrong afterwards!
