Not at all!
It’s the only obvious ‘big name’ channel missing. I even have Dave Ja Vue!
If you cannot see it on the left hand side, the problem is probably with your Win TV.
Did it come with separate software that you can install/run to see if you get Dave from that?
Installed the Win TV software that comes with the card and that is missing 19 Dave as well.
Very strange, especially as it looks like you can tune to it jchhenderson just fine.
Also missing 17 Really and a few other gaps for random channels.
I’m in Cambridge, east Anglia and have tried scanning with Sandy heath and a full frequency scan but it is still not showing.
Anyone else getting this?
EDIT: after some more investigation it looks like I am not receiving anything from the ‘COM 5’ MUX as that is the one that carries Dave and Really.
Short of climbing out onto my roof and fiddling with the antenna can anything be done, a booster perhaps?
do you know your aerial is aligned correctly?
Can you get Dave over your TV (normal transmission)?
How far are you from the transmitter and do you have line-of-sight to it?
Are you in the green on this map?
COM5 is a 170KW transmitter so should be a string signal…
Are you getting anything from the weaker com7 and com8
[edit: extra questions added]?
Don’t have freeview on the TV, only a freesat receiver.
I’m in Cambridge so well within the green area.
Out of interest I tried scanning all frequencies with Next PVR and the ‘scan offsets’ option ticked and Dave was picked up on frequency 594000
Unfortunately when I tried to view it I got only a blank screen.
Don’t appear to have anything from Com7 (BBC News HD etc Channel4 +1 HD, 4seven HD etc) but a smattering of com8 channels.
011 Pick
031 5Spike
054 Paramount
055 Channel 5
092 Pick+1
…all go back to some form of “programming” from Sat morning onwards
@sa2000 - are you aware as this is only 5 days away?
Yes I am aware that some channels are reducing down to 5 or 3 days before getting refreshed and go back to 8 / 9 days or 13
I have already flagged this as a general issue
channel 011 Pick previously refreshed after coming down to 8 days
channel 031 5 Spike appears to go down to 3 days before refreshed to 9 days
channel 054 Paramount previously refreshed after coming down to 9 or 7 days
channel 055 5 Select does appear to go down to 3 or 2 days before refreshed
I will flag the specific change for 031 5 Spike and 054 Paramount
Oh, this is the same problem as before then?
I did try manually refreshing but it made no difference.
what about Pick and 5 Select - as they are also only 5 days at the moment.
[edit: typos and last line added]
Yes but not new issue - appears consistent over past 18 days - which is the period I had analyzed. I see this as a general issue rather than an operational issue/failure this week.
I had already flagged the general issue earlier today
Just to feedback: For the Hauppauge tuners, we have not updated the frequencies for the UK for the configured transmitter groups to take into account all the 5G related changes - so please do use the Full UK Range when scanning. It does, unfortunately, make the tuning take 15 minutes as we try all frequencies and all offsets and timeout on the ones that are not available
Just realized a typo - meant to say earlier
I will flag the specific change for 011 Pick and 054 Paramount
An issue has been found in weekend ingestion. 011 Pick expected to be right tomorrow
I don’t have feedback on the others
Cheers.
I am using a Hauppage Dual Freeview HD tuner on a Ubuntu 18.04 install.
I have missing HD channels on all my guides - only the SD channels are listed.
Are the SD and HD versions supposed to exist in the guides?
I can manually map a HD channel to the SD channel in the guide (e.g. mapping #101 to channel #001). When I filter the guide by HD, these channels now show up in the grid EPG as Plex thinks they are HD.
However, when I stream or record these channels, it only does so in SD. I cannot convert any higher than SD on the stream settings.
This happens even when limiting recordings to HD only. I have run ffprobe on the recorded files to confirm they are only 480i or 576i recordings.
Anyone else have this problem?
I would really like to be able to at least record in HD. I know this should be possible as I can use the same system to run TVheadend, which does stream and record in HD.
When you scan for channels within the DVR Settings page, are you selecting All UK Frequencies ? We have not updated the frequencies for the regional transmitters to take into account G5 related changes.
This morning all but 055 5Select have 10 days data
There appears to be an issue still with 055 5Select and also 005 Channel 5
@sa2000 thanks for the update.
Channel 5 HD is missing all data for me after Saturday Oct 19th after 5:30am. This is with Freeview-National Lineup UK OTA Broadcast. Plex server version 1.18.0.1944 with an HDHomeRun. I tried deleting the tuner, re-adding it and full update of guide data and still seeing the issue.
It says “Channel 5 Programming”
@tv_fan this was reported yesterday - you can see the current status 2 posts before yours.
Usually I select Crystal Palace as that’s my nearest transmitter.
I have just tried rescanning but I see the same result.
When scanning, I get over 400 channels detected, but this drops to 138 on completion. The HD channels are in the list of guide channels, but not in the device channels list.
I then map the HD channel to the SD device channel. They are then found when I filter the guide.
but when I stream and record, it does so in SD.
The Device channel is what is being transmitted
The Guide channel is the EPG
so, when you are mapping an SD device channel, you are selecting an SD transmission, which can only transmit in SD even though you have chosen the HD guide.
You should be mapping the BBC SD device channel to the BBC SD guide channel.
