Rick and Morty is still wrong btw. It shows up on the guide Channel 4HD (104) at 11:05 on Thursday night but rather than ending at 23:35 it has an end time of 00:10.
24 Hours in A&E should be on at 23:35 until 00:40.
Also when I set it to record as a series but to Channel 4HD only its still showing on the DVR schedule as recording on E4 which is an SD channel. Even recording it as a one off, with settings as HD only, Channel 4 HD only and airing time 11:05pm still has it recording on E4.
Neighbours data still poor @sa2000 I’m afraid - today’s listing on Plex has 26/11/19 listing info (cf Channel 5 TV Guide). Also I note it didn’t record yesterday for some unknown reason, but presumably guide data issue as it’s just not listed at all in the DVR history. I’m doing another manual guide refresh in the hope it helps but isn’t that meant to automatically update each day now?
Now I’ve done the update I’ve also found the 6pm recording today (after it the lunchtime version wasn’t recorded) is showing as to be recorded in the grid guide but not in the DVR Schedule tab. I’ve noticed this sort of inconsistency quite a bit before - is this being resolved? It gives very little reassurance as a user to see these differing messages re whether something will be recorded or not!
This issue has been brought up a few times and chanes suggested to make the guide/schedules clearer to read
The grid guide just highlights the show to show that you have a series record option set for it, it highlights all episodes of the show, does not mean they will all be recorded, as recording rules affect what is recorded
The DVR Schedules Tab is the only place that shows exactly what should be recorded
As the guide data is wrong, double check you havent already got an episode dated 26/11 in your library, if you have this will prevent todays wrongly labelled one from recording
I am pretty sure this is a Guide Data thing but not sure why…
I’m a Celebrity Get me out of here on ITV at 9pm (episde 13) is not recording tonight. However it will be recording at a repeat tomorrow at 4pm. There is nothing recording at that time and anyway I have 4 tuners so unlikely anyway… I tried selecting New and Repeat to see if it would force it to record to an avail.
Any ideas… thank you
PS Wish there was a way to force a record like you can on other systems like Tivo etc… it;s very frustrating…
PPS it is marked as “New” as well… Refreshing data now but not fixed as yet
Oh Ok that is the expected way it would work… I thought from memory that it just took me to screen to adjust series recording… However I can’ check now as the recording has appeared after refreshing the guide - oh and it disappeared again… Oh and it does what I thought just takes me to recording options… not force record…
The guide refresh has caused a really weird problem in that it is re-recording the shows from yesterday - even though they were recorded ok - so not sure what it is actually recording :-S… Might need to reboot!
That may arise if the episode are labelled / matched differently after the recording completes. Would need screenshots of the recorded episdoes in the library - plus server logs captured after one of these recording completes and gets moved into a library and matched
There is an error in the “originally aired date” for the 28th November airings. The others appear ok. channel
That would explain what happened on the 28th. I cannot see an issue with the data for the 27th November. This data was from an EPG refresh in evening of 26 November
There appears to be a couple of issues here. The two airings are supposed to be 2 consecutive episodes. And the first S2 E1 and S1 E9. This has happened before where the episode number continued with the season rather than switch to the next season. The other error is that both airings showing same episode.
I can see that there were schedule entries for 28 November that did not match what is on the channel 4 guide and the end time being wrong for Rick & Monty. Will mention it to our provider
I have not been able to reproduce this. Do you record “New only” or “New and Repeats” ? I tested this for Series 4 Episode 3 which is due to aired on 4th and 5th December. I can see errors for S4 E3 where the “New” indicator is set for channel 4 airings when this series airs first on channel E4 - so only E4 should have the “new” indicator. The originally aired date appears to be wrong - inconsistent of what channel 4 web site says. But as this series is sequenced with Season and Episode numbers, the originally aired date is not used.
Thanks for checking - as you say that confirms the issue for 28th. It didn’t seem to record on 27th or 29th either, despite items being listed in DVR Schedule as being due to record. I’ve downloaded the logs but can’t see any errors noted - is there anywhere in particular I should be looking? Do they get overwritten quickly?
I have to come over here to continue my rant I already started in the German/Kabel Deutschland guide thread.
Ladybug is a good one, since the run time of the episodes is 25-30 min (at least for the German airings), which is as long as an episode of “The Simpsons”, and does not seem to combine episodes. So it is as clean as a kid’s show can get.
In Germany, Ladybug is aired on The Disney Channel (HD) (226 in Kabel Deutschland Munich East lineup) and for ~80 % of the airings S/E data exists! Is this then poor luck to get any information since it is kid’s show on a kid’s channel and we are not to expect anything? I really don’t get how the provider works… It is hit and miss for me…
It actually seems so…
I mean how can you expect people to report every single show that it not fully obtaining reasonable guide data? For my German lineup it seems as the vast majority of shows is not correctly “sequenced” and does not consistently have S/E data for example.
Why is this not automatically happening over time? It’s been half a year now (correct me if I am wrong) since the new guy took over and still this is a mess all over the place…
