New Plex Guide Very Poor in UK

Further to my earlier reply - a quick question: are you using one of the OTA freeview lineups ? And I presume you restricted recordings to just channel 5 for this

Will try and capture logs this evening assuming it doesn’t record, although it’s only this week they have this extra episode. It’s just weird it is being picked up fine in the schedule then not recorded.

I’ve got it as New & Repeat, limited to 105 on Freeview

Thanks, sent!

Thanks for the logs

I can see 3 airings each day - eg for 19th March, there is 13:45, 17:30 and 22:00
The 17:30 airing is showing as a repeat of the 13:45 airing and that is consistent with the channel 5 schedule

So recordings should be of the 13:45 airing and 22:00 airing

Is the issue that the 22:00 recording is disappearing ?

There appears to be an issue where we are still matching with tvdb - this was expected to stop. I will refer this to the development team

Could you see if deleting the recording schedule for Neighbours and recreating it would resolve the problem

This shows the channel schedule

The logs were captured at 22:38 - 3 minutes after the end of recording for the 22:00 airing

The logs do show both the 13:45 and 22:00 being recorded

13:45 airing

Post processing took a number of minutes and the recording file was available at 14:26 - 12 minutes after the recording completed

22:00 airing

Mar 19, 2020 22:00:00.127 [0x7fd83c913700] DEBUG - Grabber: Starting operation for 'Neighbours - Endgame: 19/03/2020' on channel 105.

This completed at 22:34:59 and was still being post processed when the logs were captured. If it takes as long as the 13:45 recording to post process, then the file should have been ready by 22:47 - 9 minutes after the logs were captured

Looking at the logs for the 18th March - two files were produced

I presume the issue is that the 22:00 Endgame airings are not showing in the library?

Yep that’s precisely the issue. Lunchtime one being correctly recorded, evening repeat of that being correctly ignored (and not showing in upcoming recording list). Evening one from a user perspective not recording as never showing up as viewable. From what you’re saying from the logs it IS recording it but then hiding it from the user for some reason?

Yes - it is being merged with the earlier recording

I have referred this to our development team

Could you try this and see if it makes a difference - delete the schedule for neighbours and then recreate it

Capture logs 20 minutes after end of the night airing

Sorry only back from work now - everything getting rather busy prepping for rise in COVID-19 admissions. Last episode was tonight so have missed the boat! Hopefully the dev team can sort it for anything like this in the future.

Has there been any progress on this one as I am still having to rename the files manually?

In addition to this, the repeats of “Would I Lie to You” on BBC (Friday 20th and 27th March - Series 12) and Dave (Tonight 21st March - Series 7) are listed as and recording as 1999 as opposed to 2007:

wilty

I also see from some of last year’s recordings that I have a mixture of 1999 vs 2007 in the filenames so it looks like this issue has been going on a while.

Wikipedia, The TV DB, IMDB

Both of these TV Shows are on the list. I will try and see if we can schedule those adjustments. These have been corrected by our provider but there was a problem with picking the change

We have made adjustments to the start year for the following shows. This change is live now and so an EPG refresh ought to pick the new value for the year

image

So recordings will now go into folders with the new “start year” value

Note for everyone in this thread - please see the above post as this change affects directories where recordings of these shows will go into

Interestingly both “Danger Mouse” and “Would I Lie to You” are already being stored in 2015 and 2007 based folders respectively - it was just the filenames that were wrong.

Is it just me or are there currently gaps in the UK EPG? I have lost all listings for Talking Pictures TV on channel 81. Just seeing Talking Pictures TV Programming in 24 hours blocks.

Could someone check to see if it is just me or is this also the same for other users?

I can see the problem. I will check if it is still the case in today’s data and report it to our provider

It appears that data ran out after the 22nd March. A possible delayed feed from the channel to our provider. I have referred it to our EPG provider

Thank you sa2000, I will keep my eye on the feed and let you know if it doesn’t reappear in the next day or so.

Seems to be some issues with the UK guide next Saturday. BBC1 joining BBC news just after midnight, BBC2 shows as off air from 12:15, a few +1 channels are showing “Time Change Message”. Something amiss at the clocks change?

See When do the clocks change? - GOV.UK

I will have a look at the data

I’m confused, why have you shared that?
