The last time this happened I missed it and as I sat down to watch, what I thought was a historical drama about our Prime Minister during WWII, I ended up with the opening credits to, quite literately, an “Alien invasion horror”.
Anyway it seems that Plex has it wrong again… and hopefully I have noticed it in time to see it corrected:
Plex shows “Darkest Hour (2017)” on The Horror Channel (Channel 070) at 01:00 on Friday 3rd July where it should be “The Darkest Hour (2011)”:
A bit like my report of Charlie’s Angles: Full Throttle - they shouldn’t constantly be wrong!
Whilst I expect The Horror Channel’s own TV guide to get it right, Freeview and third party guide publishers such as ontvtonight have the right film so why can’t Plex?
Now that sa2000 has reported it hopefully “the provider” is on top of it
@sa2000 Just manually refreshed… still no listing after 6:00 BST tomorrow morning even though I reported this last Sunday. Any further assistance would be appreciated.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to schedule a manual recording?
Due to all the issues over the past year, I installed NextPVR without a TV guide and use that when I want to make a manual recording. You can easily set it to record Channel 81 from 0959-1203 on Saturday, or whatever takes your fancy. It does mean either running comskip yourself (or using AVIdemux) and then renaming and importing into Plex after the fact, but it’ll do in a pinch.
Thanks for the suggestion @hugothehippo, as it happens the guide has just populated with the TPTV listings. Thanks @sa2000 for sorting this. I will proactively take a look at NextPVR
