I am hoping that Plex is correct and Channel 4 / Freeview are wrong but Plex is showing Fantastic Four on Film 4 tonight at 19:00 (Channel 4) as the 2005 version whilst the Channel 4 and Freeview guides have it as the 2015 (Not as good in my opinion) version:
There is also a problem with tomorrow’s showing of Step Up All In at 11:00 on E4 (Channel 13) where it is only 30 minutes long and followed by a rather long episode of The Goldbergs (3h 40m):
I’ve got celebrity gogglebox to record every Friday night at 9pm. It recorded last night but go to Friday 17th and on Channel 4 there’s a 23hour 50 minute episode of “How to lose weight well”. Which means on my DVR schedule there’s “no upcoming airings” of Gogglebox. There does seem to be a different issue happening every day now. Different provider needed? When it becomes unreliable it becomes something you can’t trust, and when you can’t trust it, you don’t use it. Which means I won’t be paying going forwards…
Apparently “How to Lose Weight Well” is on for 23hr 50min.
I’ll not bother trying to schedule anything on that day, eh?
And on and on and on AND ON - I mean, these are only the ones I’ve noticed by looking for things to record and making sure I cross reference it with a RELIABLE source, like Digiguide Windows app.
So much micro managing for a paid for product that is NOWHERE NEAR fit for purpose…
Yes, they do, it’s the timing that’s off - the BBC2 portion is on from 17:30 to 19:00, not 17:30 to 18:30 as the guide states (with the wrong programme title).
What on earth has happened over the last 24/48 hours to turn a fairly bad service into something that is just wrong in so many places?
@sa2000 it looks like you’ve got your work cut out over the next couple of days.
Yes please tell us - I really hope @elan has a plan to sort this mess out rather than re-designing UIs and releasing products that I didn’t ask for (Plex Dash and Plexamp for example - the latter woulnd’t even be needed if the general Plex player did gapless playback).
I think they have given up on fixing the underlying issues, most users will give up using it because it is not reliable and then Plex will drop the feature because no one is using it.
I’m on Freesat South and successfully recorded the 9 episodes of the BBC One series I May Destroy You so far.
I noticed that episode 11 scheduled for MON 22:45 is not showing up in the recording schedule when you have New Airings Only enabled. Episode 12, scheduled for TUE 22:45, appears correctly as a new episode:
FWIW, The Live Aid ep 1/2 that you see on Monday night on the BBC site is on the iPlayer and the Plex listing is, as Philby would say, against all odds, correct (at least going by my more reliable Digigude method). So it looks like a BBC error - maybe the first part has already aired?
However, the part 2 is on tonight, “Rockin’ All Over the World”. Could I record that - NO, OF COURSE NOT! There was some weird Live Aid docu-drama scheduled according to the Plex “guide”.
Had to force a guide refresh manually, EVEN THOUGH I HAD JUST DONE THAT YESTERDAY!
Only now this ep 2 shows up, and my earlier manual record of the Iraq doc is gone to be correctly replaced by something that can be series linked. (edit: once again MICRO MANAGEMENT REQUIRED - or else I may have found that this would not have taped seeing as my manual record was deleted by the proper guide info being presented on this new refresh)
Looks like I’m still settling for not having Politics Scotland tomorrow morning.
