New Plex Guide Very Poor in UK

UK Drama channel listings mixed up again.

The Bill showing date rather then episode and no listings after today.

I have reported this to our provider

I have escalated UK Drama issue - the EPG data runs out from midnight tonight

I have reported this as well to our provider

Thanks - I performed a refresh earlier and can now see that the episode data has been resolved for Taskmaster on Dave.

However, 8 Out of 10 Cats on 4Music (Channel 029) is showing the same problem through all of next week - will this be same?

Cheers - I have updated my recording to “New and Repeat Airings” and it is picking up tomorrow’s airing at 03:20

Whilst next week’s episode on Thursday at 22:00 has the correct episode data it is missing the New tag:

Some series on some channels do not get sequenced and they may end up being sequenced if we request it and the request is accepted.

If the series does get sequenced on 029 - 4Music then it would be a similar operational matter. And it only becomes a problem if they are not sequenced before the air date/time.

So if we end up with a situation where a normally sequenced series is not sequenced for an airing today or even tomorrow then I would raise it as an issue when it gets reported

Formula 1

In today’s EPG data for Europe we have the F1 2020 events being under one new show title “Formula 1 Season 2020”

So we expect all events for 2020 to be within this series/show

The current data after a refresh of the EPG today should show

That sounds perfect. Yep, just did a refresh: all looks as expected & both recordings set without issue. Thanks for getting it straightened out @sa2000 :+1:t2:

Seems like EPG refresh isn’t working at all. As in, initialising a refresh makes it sit at 0% which in turns make the Live TV and DVR fail

Only issue I am aware of is for users with Three Broadband

If you are not, please upload server logs just after you get this issue

Any news on the Drama channel issue? I’ve just refreshed the guide and it’s still just showing “Drama Programming”. I’m trying to record The Bill at 9am. Is there any way to manually set a recording for that channel for an hour?

Drama UK data has been updated - an EPG refresh after 11:15 am today should pick the new data - our ingestion completed 10:15 BST today and allowing an hour for cache to clear

Any update for Channel 4 and Celebrity Gogglebox? The “new” tags and episode number isn’t correct for Friday 24th July.

@sa2000 that’s Neighbours mucked up again the last couple of days. Duplicate recordings, info from 2016. What is the provider doing about this?

@elan great that you contributed to the thread to let us know you’re not happy with the data quality, but what is being done to actually fix the core problem here with your service provider? The number of problems seems to be increasing rather than decreasing despite all the work from the community and your staff to flag up these issues. They’re clearly just playing whack a mole and not fixing the core issue. This level of service is simply unacceptable and I would greatly appreciate a fuller response that actually lays out some timescales and a plan of action to resolve the problem. In the meantime will you please focus on fixing the myriad of existing outstanding bugs and missing basic functionality in Plex rather than repeatedly launching new features?

I’m in the same boat with Neighbours. The wife is asking why it always breaks and I sense before long I will have no choice but to use another system.

I have just checked Neighbours in today’s data and the “New” indicator is not set. The original air dates are set correctly for the next airings for Monday to Thursday on channel 5 - but no New flag set. So would need to have “New and Repeats” in the DVR setting for the recordings

I have fed back to our provider that the data is still not right

Channel 5 is showing news from 5pm until 9:30pm. Freeview is listing the correct information. Multiple refreshes carried out and no change (still incorrect info)

Thanks - I have escalated this to our provider.

I have mentioned this to our provider - 24th July does not appear to be sequenced yet
