New Plex Guide Very Poor in UK

The sequencing has come through today in a refresh performed about an hour ago. Whilst the episode data matches that on the Channel 4 website, Plex seems to have a rouge showing of “8 out of 10 Cats” at 21:50:

As can be seen below , it should be “Tattoo Fixes”:

Additionally, is there any update on the missing “New” tag from tomorrow’s “The Good Place” as reported here last week ?

I can see this schedule error. I have flagged it back to our provider

It was supposedly fixed - i have flagged back that it is still wrong for the next airings

Is this all a case of using a poor provider? Perhaps it is worth Plex changing to a better provider of EPG in the UK!?

A change has just been released in Plex Media Server beta 1.20.0 to address the Limit to Airing Time bug

Release Note:

  • (DVR) server would display incorrect times under “Limit Airing Times To” advance recording option. (#11362)

Thanks!

Sequencing appears to be in place up to Sunday 26th July
The airings for 29th and 30th July are not yet sequenced.
There does appear to be a spurious airing on 29th July at 23:50.
I have passed this on.

Appears to have been corrected for today’s airing - needs an EPG refresh to pick it up

23 July - 22:00 BST
The Good Place
The Brainy Bunch - S3 E3 - New

Next week’s airing does not yet have the “New” flag but is correctly showing S3 E4 “The Snowplow”

Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby BBC2 Tuesday 20:00 showing on Plex guide as S2·E11—Schloss Elmau, Germany, but BBC have it as series 3, so series hasn’t recorded as not showing as new

Wow.

Let’s launch something else (free live tv streams) without fixing the paid for product.

The mind boggles!

Luckily it’s now the TV “off season” in the UK, even more so due to hardly any programmes in production, so I don’t see the badness of the guide so much…

I can’t believe you have to keep playing whack-a-mole. I’ve been keeping my eye on this thread because I would like to use Plex for my live tv instead of paying a monthly sub for channels, but I despair when I see how inaccurate it is.

Also, I have an IPTV provider which has fixed channel numbers (works great in Plex) so would be nice to be able to add a second tuner in a separate section from OTA DVR.

The new live tv is ok actually… when I first read about it, I thought I would insta disable it like I did with the free movies, but it’s ok for the occasional watch

Thanks - it seems that Sunday’s episode of Batwoman (S1 E19) at 21:00 on E4 also has a regression issue as it is missing the new tag as well :frowning:

The showing of “Unknown (2011)” on 5 (Channel 005) and 5 HD (Channel 105) is airing on Monday (27th July) at 23:05 but Plex is showing it as being 4 hours:

Freeview shows it as being 2h 10m long:

Thank you. I have added this to the issue that is still open with our provider relating to the channel 5 schedule errors

This has been updated in today’s ingestion. An EPG refresh now should bring the “New” indicator for the Sunday airing of S1 E19 on E4

Thanks - I have referred this to our provider
The Torridon, Scotland S2 E10 should have been S3 E2
Schloss Elmau, Germany S2 E11 should be S3 E3

This does show now on the schedule for channel 5
An EPG refresh now should update the EPG schedule

The error for the 21st July did not get fixed in time. But the one for 22nd July did and was very close. Needed a refresh at about 11:30 am to pick up the fix in time.

I do not currently see any over-long durations. Do you spot any issues at the moment with 81 - Talking Pictures - after doing an EPG refresh today (the new data today was in place and cache cleared by approx 11:00 am

It’s come up here before, but the listings for Grand Designs on More 4 are incomplete - no series or episode information, and a generic blurb. Other online listings providers have the correct information. Any chance of this being fixed?

Why are shows now lacking NEW tags. I have noticed this a lot recently

Thanks, I did resync but then DVR decided for some reason not to record it anyway. I give up, I thought DVR was rebuilt to be reliable? Looks like I am going to have to use a different service.
