I received the omega release of 1904 and everything works fine for me except the subtitles that after a while they disappearing. All 4k HDR movies i tried was ok and there wasn’t any buffering. Are any of you aware the problem with subtitles?
For me isn’t working. Also you don’t need to have plex addon to enable pass through. While the movies playing directly from kodi from settings you can activate pass through but again no effect for me. Also kodi won’t engage HDR

It’s still doing it, I believe a recent update was pushed for Xbox plex and the buffering is at it’s worse now. Every 15-20 minutes the video says buffering and will not start again unless I stop playback completely… Please fix this.
I just got hit with this watching a 1080p video. This is completely unacceptable 
My issue is happening in all formats/codecs 720p - 1080p. I’ve never even tried 4K since I haven’t made that tv upgrade yet. What I can say is I’ve never experienced buffering issues before (especially on LAN) and my infrastructure is all gigabit ethernet besides my AC wireless devices. I’ve checked my network with Wireshark and during plex getting stuck on buffering, I have little to no network usage from my other devices, so this is definitely not a bandwidth/throughput issue. I don’t understand why they would release an Xbox app version with known buffering issues. As matthew10199 stated, we shouldn’t have to rely on lessening quality through transcoding, especially with 1080p video.

Seriously, one day it’s working, the next it stops.
HVEC is STILL crashing the Xbox video stack. Now it only happens with certain movies, including ones that didn’t before.
It used to happen on Dolby Atmos 7.1 videos, now it’s doing it to an AAC 7.1 video with that as it’s only sound track.
For the love of god, fix it and stop touching it!
Same issue for me. Plex is on local network. LG TV plays smoothly, but via Xbox One it’s not smooth

Yep same thing I’m seeing, AAC and AC3 used to be a safe haven to allow smooth play without buffering, now even fields with those audio tracks buffer on 4k HDR videos
My Plex app on Xbox one is also constantly buffering. Its basically unusable. 1gb wired connection. Installed emby server + emby xbox one app on the same hardward/network to test and it runs smooth without an issue. Id rather not pay for emby so would appreciate this issue being resolved.
For me Emby does not seem to do 4k HDR so I’m stuck with Plex for the time being. I would suggest creating a bug report on your Xbox and submitting it. The more people that report this the more likely it gets someone attention either at Xbox or Plex

I have the try upcoming features on and my Samsung smart tv has always had issues but enerve my Xbox . I hadn’t had a problem in both devices til the last 2 days I had buffering issues
Still not f**king fixed…
Also seeing buffering all the time even though the server isn’t taxed. It’s especially bad with subtitles enabled it seems.

@Moussa What info do yall need from us to get this resolved? I’m a lifetime pass holder and have gotten DOZENS of ppl to subscribe as well, so this half assed stuff won’t work.
