Hey @sa2000 any update from dev on this? Just tried deleting and rescheduling a show on 1.14.0 and still an issue.
FWIW, I am still have the issue as well. I have found that for some shows I can go to advanced and specify only to record on the HD channel, but for many series the HD channel is not listed as an option.
The issues with HD Only are being looked into by the development team

I know this is a HDHomerun thread but just to let the development team know that I am running a Hauppauge PCIe tv tuner and I am experiencing the same issues with HD only recording. I thought its worth a mention in case they are focused on only one group of devices, I look forward to the fix!
Yes the problem with HD / SD is generic and not specific to one DVR
Just to add that I have what seems to be the same problem. The work around for me is to modify the recording and set resolution to “Any” then go into “Limit To Channel” and select the HD channel. As others have reported, if I set Resolution to “HD” then I get “No upcoming airings” or some such.
What deckingman describes is what I am seeing as well, with the exception that sometimes the HD Channel that the series is on is not available to select.
My work around is to unselect the SD channels and set the HD channels as if they were the SD channel.
For instance, 6 is WXIA, and 806 WXIADT. I have unselected 6 WXIA in my channel and changed 806 WXIA to 6 WXIA.
A fix is expected to be in PMS release 1.14.1 - it is in QA at the moment
@sa2000 Will this also fix the issue with it recording TV shows on Spanish channels, and not English ones? I have been trying to record Premier League games and it defaults to the Spanish channels

Plex Media Server 1.14.1.5487 has just been released as Beta. It has a fix for the HD Only
issue where it gets ignored when selected for scheduled recordings

Hey @sa2000 I just applied 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476 and am still seeing an issue with SD vs HD recording. If I leave the channel selection as Resolution: Any and Limit To Channel: Any it still records in SD.
The bug that was fixed was for when you select “HD Only” and it was ignoring it.
What you appear to be asking for is the for the default to be HD if you select “Any”. See discussion on this - starting with this post DVR | General Feedback & Issues - #32 by Jakosaur
