I upgraded from dsm6.
I have dsm7.2.2
and plex is also the latest version at 1.41.0.8994.
I accessed localip:32400/web.
Control Panel-Shared Files-Plexmediaserver-Edit-Permissions-Allow local users plexreadwrite / Allow internal system users plexmediaserverreadwrite
- Shared Files-‘Media Folders’ -Edit-Permissions-Allow internal system users plexmediaserverreadwrite
I did it.
Plex, which was working fine on dsm6,
now says that the previous server is unavailable,
and the subfolders of ‘Media Folders’ are not visible in Add Library - Add Folder.
Currently, I have 3 Plex - Account Settings - My Server, but two are unavailable, and one is nearby. and there are no playlists.
How can I fix this?
I can only give you this, as I personally have no experience with Synology: Synology FAQ - Questions, Answers, and How-To's - #34 by ChuckPa
You should never change permissions for the PlexMediaServer shared folder.
Please follow FAQ 32: Repairing the PlexMediaServer shared folder to restore permissions to their correct settings.
Do you still have the /Plex shared folder?
If yes, are the database file still present in /Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases?
If yes to both, then the migration from DSM 6 to DSM 7 did not complete.
