I totally regret updating my Synology DS3018xs to DSM 7 last week.
I have re-installed the latest PMS version twice as suggested on another forum.
I tried all the perms changes and nothing fixes the issue.
My movie Library is there but PLEX cannot play the files it sees in the folders.
I get this for ALL my video & music files now -
volumexx/NASVOLxx/MUSIC VIDEOs/Alan Parson Project/xxxxx.mp4
“Unavailable”
VERY frustrating,
Very tempted to throw this unit in the trash. and buy another brand.
99.9% of the problems encountered are because steps were missed.
I need to know EXACTLY what you have.
In the Plex shared folder, Do you still have “Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server” ?
When you upgraded, Did you uninstall Plex first as the instructions show ?
If not, Did you hit REPAIR when DSM prompted ?
I would also like to ask if, in all the things you’ve read, you’ve seen any of these or any of the now countless threads in the forum where folks have successfully migrated to DSM 7 ?
