Plex Playback Error "Please check that the file exists and the necessary drive is mounted"

99.9% of the problems encountered are because steps were missed.

I need to know EXACTLY what you have.

  1. In the Plex shared folder, Do you still have “Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server” ?

  2. When you upgraded, Did you uninstall Plex first as the instructions show ?

  3. If not, Did you hit REPAIR when DSM prompted ?

I would also like to ask if, in all the things you’ve read, you’ve seen any of these or any of the now countless threads in the forum where folks have successfully migrated to DSM 7 ?
