Quite right. I didn’t see the build number change, and since it is still 1.16.5, I ignored the server’s insistence there was an update.
Main download page still shows 1.16.5.1488 for me.
This is the new build: https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/1.16.5.1554-1e5ff713d/windows/PlexMediaServer-1.16.5.1554-1e5ff713d-x86.exe
Strange, it was showing the new one for me. Maybe a Plex Pass thing? My server setting page was showing 1.16.5.1488 until I switched the update channel to beta and then it gave me the 1554 build. I’m also on a Mac and so get the OS X version when I visit the downloads page so could be that. Are beta server builds Plex pass only? I have no idea…
Go to the main download page…the latest versions are now listed there: https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/
I still need to test to see if this fixes the issues.
Yep. Just checked and it shows .1554 with Plex pass downloads on and .1488 with them off.
No problem for me as I have a Plex pass but Kind of sucks for everyone else given that it’s a bug fix rather than an upgrade.
I have updated the links in this thread to point to the new downloads site links and added macOS. hopefully this helps the non-Plex Pass users here until this goes out to all users.
That’s awesome. Thanks so much for getting this sorted.
My daughter has watched a number of streams this afternoon without the skipping issue.
Thank you for updating the links. I am a non Plex Pass User abd suffering from the Samsung Problem. But the Link to the 64 Bit Synology Packet ist still down. Can you pleased reupload it?
Fixed! sorry
anyone else having issue now when you fast forward or rewind you lose sound with the patch?
Maybe anyone can give me a time when the update is available vor linux 32 bit ? (Raspberry)
Because that workaround with disabling Direct play does not work for me. German videos play now in english -.- Also if German Audio is selected…
i use WD pr2100, but update file for it is not exist
how can i get 1554 file?
plz
The hotfix update seems to have fixed the audio delay when trying to play 4K movies on the Plex web app (browser) itself, so that worked and many thanks, but unfortunately I am still experiencing a scene skipping bug when playing 4K movies that are played via the Samsung Plex app, with the latest 4.1.1 Samsung app update as well. I have again attempted to play two 4K movies after updating the PMS (and including a PC restart). The first movie starts skipping at approximately 9mins 20sec and onwards, and the second at approximately 3min 20sec. I have been experiencing this scene skipping bug for much of the year now. Here’s hoping it can be fixed.
Attached is the PMS logs, and I also enabled the ‘Send logs to server’ setting from within the Samsung Plex app, so hopefully they have been added to the zip file as well.
Edit: @lalala123456 Samsung Series 6 4K TV model: UA50-KU6000-WXXY, Tizen version 2.4.0.
Model of the TV? Version of Tizen?
(Samsung KS7000, Tizen 2.4.0, Plex client 4.1.1, latest server version and on the local network and didn’t get skipping last night. Will try for longer tonight).
Please can the Docker image be updated @chrisallen?: https://hub.docker.com/r/plexinc/pms-docker/tags
When will it be fixed for Synology NAS? It’s f.ckin’ annoying, guys
I restarted the docker container running on my synology, which was running the -plexpass version and it updated to the fixed version automatically for me. Issue is resolved.
I have a DS418Play and fixed the problem by installing the latest Plex Media Server available via the Synology Package Center (v1.13.4.5271).
When will the official docker container be updated?
