Hello. I’m new to Plex. I purchased the lifetime plex pass and was very happy with everything. I have not made any changes to my plex server. I have Win11 and the plex server installed on that machine. Literally was able to watch movies remotely until today. It first stopped working on the plex app on my iPhone while I was commuting to work. Then I tried using the https://app.plex.tv/desktop and that’s when I see the message unable to connect securely. Like I said I didn’t make any changes. Everything seems to work locally. As soon as I connect to my Wi-Fi on my phone the app and the URL work. Could I be having the issue where the certificate is stuck? Please help.

Plex Media server (lifetime subscriber) has been working fine for remote access and a couple of days ago I get the “Not Available outside your network” error. I have changed nothing in my config. Reading a few messages above seems like a certificate needs to be "refreshed”? Thx

I have not changed any of my firewall settings and in the last week, I noticed that my remote access keeps cutting out. It was working fine until this week. Can you please check my certificate Moderator? I’ve tried all the support articles and can’t for the life of me figure out what is wrong.
[mod edit: You don’t even have a server on your account, nor any server shared with you. So there is nothing to check. Are you perhaps logged in with the wrong account?]
Could you check my cert too pretty please?
I’ve been trying to debug my router for weeks until I thought to turn on the console and google the results
(60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired)
[mod edit: Done. Please wait at least 10 minutes, then stop and restart your server.
Side note: your server software version is pretty old.]
I’m having certificate issues which are preventing my AppleTVs from connecting to Plex on my NAS. Web interface is fine. I’ve tried reclaiming the server and that didn’t fix it. Could you see if I have a cert issue on your end?
Thanks!!
[mod edit: you are rate-limited by plex.tv, because your server has requested pretty much every day a new certificate. I don’t assume that you are nuking your server every day and set it up anew for more than a month, so this must be rooted in either a bad container configuration, or some “clean up” script that you are running daily.
Either way, please create your own forum thread, so this thread is not hi-jacked.]
I am also stuck in a loop, attempting to switch over from a nas to nvidia shield as plex server. Cannot seem to get past “cannot connect securely. Nas is still up and running fine, ports are correct, only the nvidia shield seems stuck. Server cert?

Could you please check to see if my certificate is renewing. I recently upgraded the plex/portainr app and now can’t access any of my media from the app. I’ve tried both from web apps and ipad app.
Thanks,
David

Hi! Could you please check my certificate? I’m moving to docker and it seems my new server has some certificate issues. Thanks!
[The certs of your servers are not affected. Most important if you use a manual portforwarding, is that a new server gets a different external/WAN port number. Do NOT re-use the port forwarding of an older server. For all follow-up questions, please create your own forum thread.]
I too am having remote access problems for the last two weeks. I’ve followed all the guidance but I still come up with the “Not available outside your network” message.
Do I have a certificate issue?
