Noticed something odd (well, at least odd to me)! Here are details:
Movie Library and its using English (UK) language settings.
Library also uses Certification Country as Ireland .
For the movie The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water when it comes into plex using the above settings the title is translated into Irish. See below …
Plex is getting this from TMDB and the alternative title for Ireland → The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015) - Alternative Titles — The Movie Database (TMDB)
My language settings are set to English (UK) so plex should use those language settings. However, I have set certification to Ireland its pulling the Irish (Gaelic) name. Certification does not equal Language.
IMO this should not happen.
I’m not able to reproduce. Have you checked if that name might be in the file’s embedded title?
Thanks for checking. I double checked the file and there is no embedded metadata (I scrub my files) and I also have Prefer local metadata disabled. I have Use original titles disabled, could you have that enabled ?
Otherwise, let me run some additional tests tomorrow to see if I can track down some additional specific.
I do use “original title”, but the original title for this is in English.
I can reproduce. Specifically it’s the library language set to English (UK) and “Use original titles” unchecked. Certification country is unrelated.

It appears the English (UK) is using Ireland title instead of the United Kingdom title.

Right, which I think would bypass the problem, I’ll confirm later when I’m back at my pc.
The problem is the Irish title is being pulled in when my language is set to English (UK).

The Personal History of David Copperfield: Bonus Edition
Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings 3D
The Polar Express 3D
Justin and the Knights of Valour 3D
Avengers Assemble 3D
Blade Runner: Theatrical Version
All of these are pulling edition type titles. I don’t use editions at all so these titles are coming in as the default which is wrong.
Shades of iTunes pulling up poster art from around the world on a bunch of movies (I haven’t checked recently so this might be fixed.)
