I downloaded a file (PlexMediaServer-1.32.0.6950-8521b7d99-armv7neon_DSM7.spk)
In package center right side (manual install) choose file I downloaded and it says (this package is not supported on the platform of synology NAS or is incomatible with the current DSM version)
I have tried download all files and try them 1 by 1, still same messages.
If the server can’t see Plex in Package Center then you have the network configured. (It must have your modem/router’s IP address as your Default Gateway)
Package Center will populate with everything it sees. (this is my DS418j which is very limited)
I am the maintainer of the NAS Compatibility Guide.
I am the engineer who added the DS223 based on this information:
RTD1296 vs RTD1619B
Clock speed: The RTD1619B has a higher clock speed of 1.7 GHz compared to the RTD1296’s 1.4 GHz. This means that the RTD1619B will generally perform faster than the RTD1296 for tasks that rely heavily on the CPU’s processing power.Jan 13, 2023
This is a Synology problem for not including it in package center.
We have no control over what they publish.
If you manually install the ARMv8 (which is AARCH64) 64 bit Synology package, it better install.
If not, I will give you instructions to run in Task Scheduler and we can find out what has changed between product announcement and what you have now.
For anyone else with this problem, Please share this custom SPK file until I work through all the details with Synology and make it official release in Plex.
