We’ve been hard at work on some significant improvements to music metadata in Plex, and as part of that effort, we’re reworking some parts of the system that automatically grabs all that sweet artwork and other metadata that make your music library awesome. This change will impact the ability to add new music to Plex Premium Music libraries on older Plex Media Servers: Starting July 1, Plex Media Server version 1.15.8 or higher will be required to continue to add music to Premium music librarie…
This being the case why can’t we have a fix for the ReadyNAS Arm7 devices for Plex? I can’t run any version on my RN214 above V1.14.1.5488. Been that way for a long time now. I had to move my Plex server to a PC to be able to keep up to date. This is NOT what I wanted from Plex. I wanted it running on my NAS so I wouldn’t have to use a PC. Seems like we’ve been ignored as NO ONE from Plex has replied to any one of the many threads about this issue of Plex not shutting down or being able to be uninstalled.

Just updated Plex and once again I can NOT turn off the server on my RN214 Readynas.
Plex Media Server Logs_2019-04-25_17-21-52.zip (2.5 MB)
There’s the zip of the logs…Server runs fine so far just can’t turn it off. This also was happening with V1.15.1.791-8bec0f76c_armel.deb. The highest version I can use and still have a functional OFF button is 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476_armel.deb.
Need more info let me know.

Click on the off button for Plex and it just sits there trying to shut down Plex but never does.
Might be a good thing since if it did stop it it might not start back up…
Readynas RN214 Arm Firmware 6.9.5
Just wanted to get this out there, in case it saves someone some time.
Upgrading firmware to 6.10.0 does not fix the stop/uninstall issue
PMS 1.15.4.993 does not fix the stop/uninstall issue
1.14.x continues to work as expected. So far, I’m not aware of any official comment on this issue.
