it didnt i’m afraid
PMd you the logs
Hey @ChuckPa, I’m having what looks like the same issue described here. Are you able to reset the cert for my server(s) please?
Cert revoked. You may restart the server
I wonder if this is the same problem I’m having.
I have a few users that can no longer connect after months/years of successful connections.
It started since the last server update, and has been virtually unusable by anyone outside my household.
Strangely, their computers will work to connect, but TV apps will not. i dont even have an idea of how to start troubleshooting this further at this point.
Would switching my server machine to a new network cause any problems with certificates? Is there anything I might need to do to clean out the old network configuration before I can change it over? I’m not able to access remote, but it could be any number of other issues.
Changing the host invalidates the cert when the host identity changes (Name or IP)
Which log do you need in order to help here? I think I have the same problem too(File removed)
Thank you. Those logs are what I need.
I’m looking now and seeing network timeouts (error 28) while it’s waiting for a reply from Plex.tv

It seems talking to the modem/router is the problem here.
Hello
did a server move last nigth, and now i can’t get it to be sequre connection
Bayblade
i turned the server off, and did what i could read here, i have ca and cerxxxp12
moved from ubuntu VM to freebsd
hey, i think you missed my message with the logs (deleted it few days after for security conserns)
i’m still having a problem with secure connections, but it seams that the problem only occurs while using Chrome as a client? i’m not entirely sure because I cant test it, but I think my Windows and ATV apps connect securely. it should be visible from the fresh logs that i’m now attaching again.
thank you!!
Moderator Edit: Verbose logs removed
PLEASE turn VERBOSE logging OFF!
VERBOSE logging is making diagnosis harder.
- VERBOSE OFF
- DEBUG on (the default)
- Restart Plex
- Recreate
- Download Logs
- Attach ZIP
attached debug i keep loosing connectiong, i just moved it from ubuntu VM to freenas jail, and keep getting this
[CERT/OCSP] Stapling requests will be made to ‘http://ocsp.digicert.com/’.

hey, apologies for the verbose logging. here’s a fresh batch, with just standard logging enabled
(File removed)
i’ll really be grateful if we manage to fix it
- That’s BSD – might not be able to help
- You forgot to SAVE after making the changes.
Try again please.
here the 4th try, disabled verbose logging on the server dashboard, restared it and made some fresh connections to be logged - one from the phone (secure connection seams to be working), another from Chrome, each on a different remote connection
(File removed)
thanks again
That’s a lot better . You still have your transcoder in VERBOSE mode. That’s not really necessary unless figuring out why it won’t talk to a particular player.
Setting it back to debug is a good idea for next time.
As for your problem: Permission problems in the Plex metadata tree (several different files which should all be running as the Plex runtime user (plex ?)

Suggest you stop Plex.
Next reapply the appropriate UID:GID ownership to all files in the “Application Support” directory tree.
i think its fixed! thank you so much!
i actually kinda knew that i have the permissions messed up, i’m still catching on with the BSD perms. i just didn’t think that would be the issue for SSL. i simply gave the “plex” user full permissions for the entire directory, recursively
i connected securely for the first time from 2 different remote connections AND locally as well
would you maybe check the fresh logs to verify that we fixed it permanently?
(File removed)
(all verbose logging finally turned off now)
thank you so much. if you ever find yourself in Croatia, give me a ring so i can treat you to a nice meal
@ChuckPa
revereted back to old server, same issue there now aswell
loosing secure connection
and the CERT messenge i posted before
any help or want me to make a new thread?
Yes, create a new thread please.
Issue has re-occured for me, can I get a reset again please (and can I request a feature to allow users to trigger a reset from the server settings)?
