I followed those directions and I have remote access. The issue is it is bouncing up and down every couple of minutes all day for the last 3-4 days now. I can find nothing wrong. My ISP is not blocking. The port tests out ok and open. I have tried disabling my virus scanner and security suite software. I have turned off anything in windows like windows firewall and defender. This just started out of the blue. I was rock solid for about 5 years now… I’m at a loss.
Did your server update in the last week or so? The last update broke mine for some remote locations and not others for me and I had to uninstall and reinstall the previous version which restored everyone.
Unfortunately uninstalling and going back a couple of versions did nothing to help me. So I am back on the latest release… Quite aggravating for sure… Only saving grace in a way is that we are home bound by state order due to the virus, so I have a little time to keep messing around looking for a solution to all this…
same issue as leatherlips no outside access to server i set this up a couple years ago for the family they are texting me to death lol…cant figure this out will keep playing with it. will post solution if i find one.
ok i did finally reinstall everything now working with one dif im running vpn firmware on my router now remote access restored and working think my issue was my isp for whatever reason, maybe someone else is having same issue.
Hmmm… I have a VPN, but only enable it when I need to do any financial transaction. It is PC based. maybe I should look at doing a router VPN and just shove everything through it 24/7. Funny how this all started in the last week for a lot of us… What changed?
Mine has been working fine for the last year or so. last week did a migration from desktop running the server to an actual HP server running the server with no issues. Ran the update for plex yesterday to the 1.18.9.2578 and all of the sudden remote access doesn’t work. I am not “network” savvy enough to understand most of the trouble shooting stuff. Is there a discord server for plex that I just haven’t been able to find? Was there something in the last update that may have buggered something for me?
I have checked the double NAT which I don’t have and when I manually configure the port after disabling the uPnP in my Eero I get the temporary green and then red issue that I have seen others mention
I Have the same issue and I assume its a PLEX thing as I changed over my friends to Home Users and they can access thru the router fine.
I have unistalled Plex as well but the problem still persists.

Router Settings: UpNp enabled, port forwarding setup
Tried rebooting the router, rebooting the server, setting a manual port, disabling/enabling remote access.
I occasionally get the green check mark but soon after I get the red exclamation mark (within a minute or two).

MyPlex: We appear to have lost Internet connectivity, resetting device URL cache.
Same issue as everyone else. Never had the issue previously, same hardware running for the last 3 years. Only started to happen recently.

I just fix it by uninstall and install an old version. Everything works fine

I’ve had the same problem “Not available outside your network” from my WD Mycloud NAS, though I can still access the content remotely. Strangely when I run Plex on my PC, it works perfectly and doesn’t report the problem. All ports are forwarded and I’ve checked “canyouseme.org” which also works. I’ve been through all the PIex support guides and have run out of things to try. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Ok, so I’m having issues also with remote access to my server. BUT, I did make a change recently by adding a custom cert, which works, but I rolled back the change to not use the custom, and I’m still having access issues.
Connecting and browsing the server works without issue, it’s only on playback that nothing happens. Sometime it will display an error “Playback has stopped due to multiple playback errors.”
Locally everything plays without issue on multiple clients.
Any ideas?

I have completed the most recent WIndows 10 Upgrade and the patch mentioned regarding remote connectivity issues.
I have both attempted to setup a port forward on my router. I have updated my router firmware as well as tried hooking directly up to the modem.
I continue to get the Not available outside your network error. On an occasion when I retry connection it will connect for half a second then go back to not being connected.
I have turned on debugging and have the log file.
I would appreciate a Plex Support Representative take this data and possibly reach out as I come from a technical background and would love to assist testing possible patches to fix this issue. As a Plex Pass Member I would like to see the one item that got be to purchase my pass (the remote server connectivity) to work.

All of a sudden after my post last night it is now working for me this evening

Mine just stopped today that I know of I’ll keep an eye out I guess
It came up again for an hour and now back down. Has not recovered again. My hope is that someone from support saw my post from yesterday with the attached log files and is working on the issue. I have not been able to connect in months and today was the first time I have been and that was less than 24 hours after my post.
I have had the same issue for months and I don’t run it on windows. Still doesn’t work. comes and goes all the time. Tautulli notifications were disabled because i was tired of getting spammed.
