A number of us (also in England) no longer use Plex’s EPG due to its lack of accuracy. This problem has been ongoing for about 10 months now (since they changed providers).
10 months tells you that it will never be fixed…

I have already highlighted a few examples to our provider. I am passing this on as well
Are you using a PCi / USB Tuner ? I have seen issues like this when the signal is not good and there are delays.
If there are channel number changes / swaps then manual mapping is needed as happened recently with some Freeview channel changes.
If not, let me have screenshots and server logs after a channel scan
what are you referring to here - examples? Are these new channels ?
These web pages give details of recent changes
I’m using a USB tuner, Ill be moving my aerial this weekend hopefully to a better location, will run another channel scan and see if more of the numbers map up, the channels themselves seem fine
Today doesn’t seem as bad today for BBC One Scotland in the EPG
BBC Scotland channel seems to be the most broke today
By guide data I meant clicking a show and getting a brief description of the program, alot of them are blank.
Having refreshed the guide this morning, I notice that two problem channels, 5 Star and ITV4 both seem to have a continuous recording for movies. Is this something Plex has done - dare I hope this has been fixed?
@sa2000 This appears to have been fixed. Great news if so but are you able to confirm?
It certainly looks that way and this is great news ![]()
However, the logic is a bit flawed in places as it seems to have merged Casper and The Green Lantern together tonight on ITV2 at 16:35 and 18:35 respectively:
Plex:
Freeview:
It is unexpected - We have not been informed of a change.
False alarm, all of the ITV4 films have reverted to type. Another film missed today because no allowance made. ![]()
Has this setback been overcome and do you have a timeline on when this will be fixed? It is I think 15 months now since it was brought to Plex’s attention.
the original issue seems to be back.
are you on 1.20.1? …may not be the same issue but some people have reported issues with Live TV and DVR for that release. The “fix” seems to be to downgrade back to 1.20.0
I am on Version 1.20.1.3252. HOw do i roll-back to 1.20.0 in windows? Thanks.
sorry, I’m on a Mac, so not sure. Perhaps someone else can help.
if anyone wants an alt xmltv source this one seems to be good missing logos http://www.xmltv.co.uk/feed/1897
Hopefully this will resolve it
Did this get resolved ? May be an EPG refresh failed / database issue?
If it is still a problem, please get server logs after a manual guide refresh completes

You must be one happy man! Good decision.
Many manual guide updates and reboots did not help it, but the next day it fixed itself so I am all good and happy thanks.
