Can't enable Remote Access

same issues here. i had my internet go down for about a day, and havent been able to get remote working again. i have redone port forwarding about 5 times now banging my head. Plex Media Server Logs_2020-10-04_18-00-09.zip (3.0 MB) DarrenV2 is the current one, i havent figured out how to remove the old one.

i stopped my server for now

@ChuckPa thanks it’s working again but still seems weird. It says fully accessible and I’ve tested it working, but there are red X’s and no ip’s on both private and public.

Update: stopped working about an hour later. Back to not connectable. Both manual and auto.

Update 2: checked manual, applied, didn’t work. Went back to auto, it’s back to green, for now.

Aaand it lasted not even 60 seconds…

The weird thing is I’ve had it on manual for a year now with a different port #. It’s not working at all now with manual, but auto seems to make it work for a minute or so.

For me the problem is solved, thanks so much!

I have the same problem, could you please read my log?Plex Media Server Logs_2020-10-05_16-50-03.zip (6.1 MB)

@konigjanos

Please shut down the server,
Sync the system clock to the network time beacon (NTP)
then join us here.

I did, thank you!

will you respond, when i can restart the server?

Hi I have the same problem. Loggs Attached and Server off. Plex Media Server Logs_2020-10-06_11-44-49.zip (2.1 MB)

I found out that someone else was logging in as me. I reset my password and my external access starting working. Reset your password, checking the box to sign all devices out. and it should work.

@konigjanos

Restart. I APOLOGIZE!!! I am sorry for dropping the ball.

when resetting the password:

  1. Sign out FIRST
  2. Then set it at plex.tv
  3. Now sign in + let it reclaim under that password

Try that sequence.

I apologize for being scattered but am grossly overloaded right now.

@marsden007

  1. When we get this back, PLEASE turn that VERBOSE logging OFF and keep it off. It’s off by default and all this does is waste space and make our job 25x harder in 99% of the cases (25x more output).

  2. I have reset your certificate

  3. You may restart the server.

it isnt work…and its going to bad when is bought a lifetime licence pass.

I have reset one more time but it is very possible (and likely) your problem is not certificate related.

That said, there are others who have trouble with Remote Access after a certificate reset and Remote Access starts to work again after a while.

Perhaps be patient with it?

You can restart the server now.

@konigjanos

^^

This problem is effective everyone (plex pass or not).

The head of engineering is now working on it. (we chatted about an hour ago)

thank you, its looks good, and my friend sad, there is work! really thanks!

@ChuckPa I seem to be having the same exact issues - I have ran a plex server for over a year now, and upon reformatting and moving my server to a fresh install - i can not maintain a remote connection. It constantly goes from green to red intermittently and there is no access remotely on any devices.

All my ports are properly forwarded.

Please help, attached are my logs. Plex Media Server Logs_2020-10-08_22-45-25.zip (1.6 MB)
