Help, my library was suddenly autofilled with other movie content!

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

Hi, I am new to PLEX server. I set up my personal library to stream my movies to my tv. Today I bought a Plex Pass and suddenly other content was addes automatically. How do I prevent this? I just want to see my local content and keep it separated from the rest.

Thanks

Server/Settings/Online Media Sources:
Disable - All

hi, unfortunately this didn’t work, all content still in my library :frowning:

But thanks for helping.

Well, I gotta tell ya when mine look like this - I get nothing from them - not a peep:

Maybe you should restart the server, refresh the browser, reboot the house.

All I know is if they’re off - they’re off - or I’d be screaming about it.

lol

hi, on the left all other tabs are gone, only my library is visible, but like I said in my first post my personal files are mixed suddenly with other content that popped up after I got my Plex Pass :s

What other content? Movies, TV Shows, cat videos?

Is it in the same library as your personal content?

If so, make sure Plex is not configured to scan some undesired folders, inadvertently picking up other content.

What is the directory path for your library?

Using Plex Web, hover over the library. Click on the three vertical dots to the right, Choose Manage Library -> Edit -> Folders. Path will be displayed.

What is the path to one of the undesired files?

Using Plex Web, hover over undesired content.

Click on three vertical dots in lower right. Choose Get Info. Path will be displayed.

God, I hope he didn’t sign up for the:
Plex Pass Cat Video Enhancement Package.

haha

OK, my content is at volume1/Plex/Library.

I see now that there is a folder called application support, all those ‘extra movies’ point at that folder:

/volume1/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Cache/Transcode/Sessions/plex-transcode-C6BD04DD-CA88-4E51-A1EA-450EF42FCD18-091d2190-7aed-47c4-b839-406479bdbf07/media-00491.ts. => this is one exemple

Ah. I see you ignored the files saying “don’t put your media here” in something like six different languages.

Go to the Plex Synology FAQ and read the entry about where to locate your files.

Edit: here’s the FAQ. Look at #6.
