This is a bug list of issues I’ve noticed in the recent updates for Android TV. Doesn’t matter if I’m on beta or public same issues are showing on mi box s, Nvidia Shields, FireStick 4k and Android box. Direct play or stream on everything. Happy New Year!

• Random lockups that claim the antenna is to weak even though it’s at 100%. Shows in dashboard that it’s still playing, but the video is Frozen. It seems to be something with when you pause live TV and then resume it a couple minutes later it happens. See logs

Nvidia Shield watch live TV freezing. Its back

Server Version#: 1.15.5.994 Player Version#: 7.15.0.10215 Little background I have three hdhomerun primes, 2 hdhomerun connects on a P2000 i7 8700 k server. I have about 12 Roku devices some are remote and some are streamed locally. Those work pretty well for the most part except for intermittently buffering for no reason that I can find. Live TV crashes when paused and rewound

Running an unraid docker server Version 1.18.4.2164. Shield is newest Plex pass update. I have two other shield pros with the new Plex pass update and two rokus with both stable and Plex pass versions. They all have this issue for over 3 weeks now. I tried disabling transcoding live tv but that didn’t change anything. I power cycled everything and I am running two HDhomerun Primes. With Fios. •Increased buffering / pauses. Guaranteed on almost every channel change with live TV. Maybe an option to increase the buffer would fix this. Didn’t have this issue as bad before. Wireless or ethernet same issue.

Android 7.26.0.14345-beta random pauses

Server Version#: Version 1.18.2.2058 Player Version#: Plex for Android 7.26.0.14345-beta Random pauses during live tv sessions. Server is running on. WD Pr 2100… Shield tv as the player… also still crashes on resume after being paused.

• When watching the news and they show a video of something they’re reporting on it gets blurry for some reason and pixelates. Also happens on sports. I think it has something to do with the new player. Disabling the new player fixes this. Primarily happened on the fire stick.

• Random black lines when watching the news doesn’t happen on any TV shows or movies. New player issue as well. Disabling fixes

•Unable to start video primarily 4K videos and server not fast enough any definition (hd or sd). disabling new player fixes this.

"Unable to play media" on all Android-based platforms

Last night, I was able to play TV shows on Plex just fine. Today, nothing works. Every time I try to play a Movie or TV show from my NVIDIA Shield or Samsung Galaxy S8, a toast notification pops up that says “Unable to Play Media”. I have verified that the files are playable via other means and are not corrupted, and ensured that all software components, server-side and client-side, were up-to-date. New player wont play any 4k HDR files

I have posted my issue to reddit and havent gotten any response: Anyone having problems with Plex not playing their 4k hdr10 files? None of mine will play. After years without a problem, since last week I am getting a “Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost” issue on my Android TV device. I cannot play anything. The player can see the server and the server can see the player, but as soon as I try to play content it hangs and then gives the error. Failed to stream media, client probably disconnected

Server Version#: 1.18.3.2156 Player Version#: 7.25.1.14216 Dear all, I am having difficulties while trying to play 4k videos on one of my clients. I use the same hardware on every client (Xiaomi Mi Box S) and I am able to play any file on remote. This only user is getting a fault error while trying to play 4K videos (Server connection lost). • Pausing a movie or live TV cannot resume after a few minutes or causes crash.

Plex Client Can't resume paused live tv after long pause

Using an nvidia shield as the player and a WD pr2100 as the server. HDhomerun quatro as the tuner. When pausing live for a long period of time, resuming the paused stream it locks up and crashes. Basically losing the spot of the paused content. I’ve had this happen multiple times. I have been testing live tv for a while and come back and do testing and reviewing of the new player and server for improvements. Server Version#: 1.16.6.1592 Player Version#: 7.20.0.11992

• finishing a 4K movie randomly causes crashes

• firestick 4K cannot play 1080p. Will either be a black screen or will play for a little bit and then the audio will go way off and the video will freeze. Known issue hopefully Amazon fixes or Plex have work around soon.

Live TV channels freeze within seconds on Fire Stick 4k

Treated myself to a new 4k Fire Stick on Prime day as an upgrade to my current Fire TV Gen 2 (Box) but its not being much of a treat. For some reason all HD channels on UK Freeview just freeze the display (audio keeps playing but image locked like a screenshot) after a few seconds of playing. Looking back on 2019 Plex updates. We have an awesome new interface, TV Guide, recent live TV channels played, Roku has great stability now for direct stream, Android mobile TV Guide, Vod, HDR filter. So thank you development team!
