I just reset my server on Nvidia Shield TV and now I’m trying to setup Live TV DVR again but it won’t find the EPG guide data for my area (Dallas, TX area). Far as I can tell I should have EPG data for this area and it always worked before but now it’s trying to point me to use XMLTV guide data. Did something change?
I’m running PMS 1.25.8.5663 (Shield TV) and using a Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD for my tuner for reference.
I have filled out form several time and NOTHING from Plex there are dozens of OTA in the Nashville TN area that can’t be seen on Plex because of the guide missing them
I used the form with prompt success once before. But I reported another error coming up on a couple of weeks and nothing yet. It may be getting worked but there’s no way to know. In my case, the weekly gracenote listings for The Big Bang Theory in the OTA 80015 area are incorrect. TitanTV has the correct season and episode information. Oddly enough, the weekend listings in gracenote seem to be correct. For the weekday recordings, I have to go in manually, plex dance the files to a temporary directory, change the titles to match what TitanTV shows, move the files back, wait for the intros to be detected then analyze the files to regenerate the commercial skip markers. So there’s a way to deal with it but it’s a PITA.
To get the EPG updated, go to zap2it and click on missing channels. Enter the information on the missing channels and once completed, it will show up in your Plex TV guide.
I’ve been running into this issue myself this evening and haven’t found a solution yet either.
I’ve tried adding a new report in the google docs form, but it isn’t loading for me at the moment??
Anyway, Freeview in the UK has had some more channel movements, including a new channel.
This all launched on 28th March. Channel Changes and launches including the launch of W channel on Freeview | Freeview.
It is not coming through in my guide or channel matching screen yet (I am region OX13). The biggest change is the ‘W’ channel has entered at channel 25, which has bumped Dave ja vu from 25 to 74.
I have confirmed that it is still missing and checked RabbitEars.Info for Tampa, FL market
I have referred this to Gracenote to add
I can only check against the official schedule from the channel - and not iPlayer
I looked at Chugginton and I can see for Tuesday 5th April airing we do not have the episode number but the channel schedule does have it as episode 2 CBeebies - Schedules, Tuesday 5 April 2022 (bbc.co.uk)
I have opened a case with Gracenote and sited this as example and giving your list of shows as having missing series/episode numbers
No worries - I was just trying to highlight that even the BBC can’t get it right for some shows (in this instance only ‘It’s Timmy Time’ which was correct in the iPlayer section of their website but incorrect in the TV guide section of their website!)
Great - ta very much
Hi
On January you said that are going to improve EPG for Portuguese channels.
Well 3 months later is everything equal. No changes at all. All main providers (Meo, Nos and Vodafone) still missing epg for lots of channels.
This is completed ridiculous.
If we pay for a service the minimum that you can do is fix the things that do not work as it should.
Regarding episode numbering for programs on CBeebies channel:
Receiving the following response from Gracenote indicating that the issue is with the data the station is providing to Gracenote:
The source is not providing episode numbers for these series. We’ve added a number based on additional research done on our end and will continue to ask the source to provide this information.
I am sorry to see that issues remain. We did find bugs in our data ingestion of the data we get from Gracenote and we made significant changes to fix the issues at our end
What we are left with are issues with the data provided by Gracenote for Portugal
I can see these lineups are available for Portugal post code 1000
MEO ADSL (260 channels)
MEO Fibra (261 channels)
NOS Fibra (212 channels)
NOS IPTV (211 channels)
TDT (9 channels)
Vodafone TV Net Voz (227 channels)
nowo (141 channels)
Can you give me examples of important popular channels on these lineups for which you would expect program schedules to be available and I will refer to Gracenote - also any web links you have for these providers / channels that show the channels and program
Thanks
Hi
Well, on the same date I also respond to that. It seems that your support even do not read what we write. My English probably is not good because I’m Portuguese, but I think is good enough for any English reader understand.

NOS guide
For Vodafone I only find the tv listing
The actual detail was not relevant back in January because we were re-writing the ingestion code for EPG data from Gracenote for a number of countries - Portugal being one of them,
Now that the re-write has been completed - the remaining issues would be data issues with what Gracenote is providing for these lineups.
You have provided me the links to where MEO, NOS and Vodafone.
I need now examples of actual missing information on what are deemed to be important channels in these lineups and the information needs to be current - the position now and I will refer those examples to Gracenote
So just few examples for each lineup giving channel number, channel name and what the issue is with actual anomalies listed and exactly which of these line up names were actually used in your tests
MEO ADSL (260 channels)
MEO Fibra (261 channels)
NOS Fibra (212 channels)
NOS IPTV (211 channels)
Vodafone TV Net Voz (227 channels)
nowo (141 channels)
Your vodafone info was a PDF and that would need to be replaced by a new current PDF or a web page link
Thank you
Hi
You know what? Enough is enough.
Good bye.
I have asked several times about missing Freeview channel 720 in the Nottingham area. It is the local BBC station and allows me to listen to the football when away from home. Just rescanned and still the same.
Its the same here - I cannot see my local stations in the EPG.
It seems that I can receive the following on my antenna:
Ironically I am originally from Nottingham though I live in the Warwickshire countryside these days between Rugby and Coventry and cannot see any of the above in the EPG, any of which would be better then Channel 726 - BBC Stoke which is the one that is listed - as that is the furthest away at 75 miles
More new channels added to Freeview in the UK as of 13th April. Still not showing on the DVR mapping screen. I’ve logged a report.
That’s Music - Channel No 92
TalkTv - Channel No 237
