While my local news is now recording the date shown below the recording is now wrong and off by two days even though the file and XML show it should be 04-13 it is showing 04-11

There seems to be either a broad EPG failure or an abrupt PMS bug.

Suddenly, regularly scheduled OTA Live TV shows regularly scheduled to record were not in the DVR Schedule and for the first time did not record today, Friday 7 April 2023, nor do they appear in the DVR Schedule to record in the future.

I now believe this to have been the same EPG backend system issue that we fixed on Wednesday and the fix would get picked up after an EPG Refresh on the server

is list seems to be outdated. Large channels that are available across all mentioned providers are either missing EPG data or, for example, missing logos. Examples include:

CMTV: large news outlet, missing logo in HD variant as well as EPG on that variant as well (Vodafone Provider)

CNN Portugal: Same as CMTV

TVI: outdated logo

Canal Q: mentioned above, but no EPG data in HD variant of the channel

These are just some examples. Mostly I am seeing these disparities between HD and SD variants, with HD variants usually having no EPG data. Any chance that this can be looked at? Is additional data required?

Gracenote EPG data coverage in Portugal is limited

The last time we raised the issue with Gracenote for Portugal EPG data, the response was that they only maintained data for a limited number of channels. This was provided and you can see it here Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for - #1314 by sa2000

If you have any issues with any of the channels they indicated as supported, let me have the details and I will refer to Gracenote but I would need a post code and which lineup/provider you are intending to use

I found these channels in the Sky Q lineup

and they both appear to have EPG Data

For Amazon Prime Video (Sports Bar) I need to have the channel number and also a pdf file for the Sky Q channel list from Sky and if possible a url to the Sky Q list for Germany showing that channel and I will refer it to Gracenote

If it is, I would like some server logs - please ensure you have server debug logging enabled

One set of server logs captured 5 minutes after the end of a new recording
and the xml metadata then - please copy into a file and save as text file rather than getting a screenshot of the xml - please also get a download of the database through web help and troubleshooting page - you can send that to me by PM

and then refresh the metadata for that new recorded episode and get another set of server logs and metadata xml and another download of the database

We should not be attempting to update the EPG sourced metadata for recordings

The metadata xml you provided screenshot shows the item was added to the database at 23:32:14 GMT on the 13th which would have been just after end of recording but it was updated a day later at 12:50

Hi @sa2000 I’ve been experiencing a similar ongoing issue with wrong dates and dates that change when accessed (clicked on in the UI). I noticed today that here in Los Angeles virtual channel 8.6 through 8.10 is missing from the guide. 8.1 - 8.5 metadata is there but it’s not automatically populating. Any chance you can get this over to Gracenote? See the attached photo.

Yes I would like debug server logs and details of airings and zip code and lineup and channel number and channel name and I can investigate - similar diagnostics as I outlined here Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for - #1869 by sa2000 in addition to the channel number / channel name / lineup / show name / airing dates / media xml

I will refer the missing 8.6 to 8.10 channels to gracenote

For the other channels - 8.1 to 8,5 if they were added recently to the lineup., you will need to manually match

So tick the box for each channel to enable it and then in the drop-down on the right side find the equivalent channel in the lineup

I tried a zip code for Los Angeles and the Local Broadcast Listings does have these channels - so you can assign manually

Note, I tried a Nottingham NG1 postcode, and a retune, and see this:

So, it can see 101 BBC ONE EMidHD.

However, it still believes the EPG data is 101 BBC1 (BB1LDH) - if I try and select 001 BBC1 (BBC1EM) instead, which it is, then I get the error screen below:

So, I cannot select BBC1 EM for 101 no matter what.

Please fix this @sa2000

@e10kstarfire For now you have to select 101, even though it says BBC1 London as the data from gracenote has not been updated for the new regional HD channels. Hopefully @sa2000 can chase up gracenote to get this fixed for each region.
