Same here. The symptoms I continue to see are that the live stream ‘resets’ to a few seconds back (as if someone hit a rewind button), then eventually the stream freezes entirely. This is with an HD Homerun Flex Duo (though it also happened with my older Duo I just replaced hoping it would fix the problem), on a 2018 Roku Ultra. The server is on a Dell Optiplex running Win10 Pro (Plex server version 1.41.0.8994). I haven’t seen the problem when I use the Plex client on my iPad.
No change for me on 8994. Rolled back so I can watch football today. Roku TV client and GoogleTV client. I have attached current log and a DXDiag so you can get my system specs.

Same here, Live OTA not working with A or B versions listed above. Went back to 1.40.5.8921.
Hi Chris, I hate to perform any rollbacks now that most things are working pretty well. I do know these files played on Plex at some point in time (could have been 2-3 years ago). With the 8 MB file size limit, I am unable to attach a zipped file that currently does not play via Plex, but these play fine via Apple’s TV app and Quicktime Player.
Many of the unplayable files are old music videos or recordings with “.m4v” extensions and codecs of (Timecode, AVCO Media, MPEG-4 AAC). Don’t sweat it too much, but if you have any suggestions, let me know. Thanks again.
There have been many issues with live tv playback and recording for several updates now, the only fix I’ve found is installing this specific version: PlexMediaServer-1.40.5.8921-836b34c27-x86_64

.8921 doesn’t fix it for me. I’m now on .8679 and am still having issues after about 3 days which can only be fixed by rebooting my shield. What an absolute disaster.
I’m going to try 1.32.8.7639 next.
Plex Server Version 1.41.0.8994. Using any device, Roku, Web, etc. Live Tv and recordings do not work. No error message. Just a circle that spins indefinitely. These functions were working perfectly until the last update. HDHOMERUN works perfectly. All other Plex server functions work as usual.
MacOS version 1.41.0.8994 does not recognize my HomeRunHD. No Live TV/DVR functionality recently. I updated firmware on HomeRunHD and it works fine from HomeRun app but Plex no longer recognizes it.

Build 8994 still had the same issue. Build 9044 (aka. Build A) was working fine and restored my ability to watch Live TV. Build 9045 (aka. Build B) also works fine with Live TV.

Thanks Jan. Historically beta builds have caused nothing but problems for me so I opted out of them. It’s not healthy for my relationship with the other half to have a system that randomly stops working!
I might try Plex again in the future sometime but I’ve now switched to Emby and have been very impressed with it. TV just works and NextPVR appears to utilise multiple channels on the same MUX with 1 tuner. That’s a game changer for me.

When trying to fix this problem, I had deleted my DVR. Now none of the versions I tried, including 1.40.5.8921, find the HomeRunHD. Trying by IP address gives an error message trying to add it. I can’t try the beta version because it’s unsigned and MacOS won’t run it. Unfortunately, same problem with Emby. So for now, no live TV for me.
Is this still being worked on? I don’t want to stay on 1.41.0.8994 forever

I updated to 1.41.0.8994 a few days ago and have had this issue ever since - spinning circle and playback errors when watching live tv. On the web app, I get an error that says that playback has ended. I have Plex Server running on a windows machine, accessing content via Roku and mac & windows web players. Nothing’s working for live TV.
Edit to add: Rolling back to 1.40.2.8395 solved the issue for me.
I also began having the same issue with remote streaming tv from HDHomerun Prime via Plex about 3 wks ago after updating to version 8994. I was encouraged to see a fix being beta tested about two weeks ago and was expecting an update soon after. Any updates? Thanks

Similar issues here Live TV black screen on Android TV App for non-primary home account go back to march and haven’t heard from a support employee in months. Other threads with similar issues go back to 2022 and never received a response at all from a support member. I can’t believe I paid for this crap.

I’m having the same issue. After upgrading server to 1.41.0.8994 playback of live TV became erratic. Playback of previous shows from DVR is okay, and playback of shows that experienced issues live worked okay during playback.
Fails mainly on Rokus (ultra). But I did see some issues on Android Samsung tablet (but the tablet works better than Rokus.
